Giving You More Than Just My Two Cents
I Got My Fixx Stix!

This past summer I saw the Fixx with the Alarm and the Psychadelic Furs. I have already posted a video of them and I can't say enough about how good their show was.
I wasn't a huge fan until seeing them this past summer and I was impressed with the way the band interacted with the audience during the show. They seemed to have a great connection with their fans and it shows on their website as well.
One thing they offer is the Fixx Stix. You can get any show downloaded onto a flashdrive and for $25 they send you the show you request. I of course requested the Fixx Stixx today and before I rest my weary head, Im downloading it to my I-Tunes.
I thought it was a unique way for the band to share the concert experience with their fans. I thought to myself how many concerts do you go to, get all tore up and forget about the details of the show all the subtle moments that make watching live performances so awesome.
I know I wish I could get back a lot of the Hip shows I went to after my mind was clouded by several beers. It would be cool to see more bands enact this idea.
When Mike Boon teaches me how to share MP3's, Ill share a track or two from the show.

Buffalo Boy, you rock! Now I know what to buy when there's no Sleeman's!
where was i this past summer i would have loved to see richard butler and fellow band mates as well as the alarm, not a real fix fan, i dont believe this tour came this side of the border, im sorry i missed them. that would have been a great show. ken
The killer is, It was a free show. Not bad for a triple bill in which any band could take turns being the headliner.
The alarm was incredible Mike Peters just got done with a bout with Cancer and was presented with a plaque from Roswell Cancer Institute.
a book u would probably enjoy reading is the joe strummer autobiography"redemption song" my wife bought it for me this month for my anniversary, its awesome covers his early chilhood to his death in 2002 a must read for any clash fan, "the only band that mattered," ken
Yeah I saw that, theres a movie and soundtrack out too. I really liked Strummer especially the Solo stuff with the Mescaleros.
i saw joe with the mescaleros twice in t.o., an amazing artist to see in a small venue, 2 performances i will never forget, his passing was very very sad. ken
