I watched the last period and a half last night from the Lobby Bar at the Seneca Niagara Casino and here is what I saw: I saw a team skating their asses off and working their tails off without results. They just had no finish. Some of their 26 shots were just blind throws at the net and maybe that is a product of being tired.

I saw a team that was diving, scrapping, and clawing for every loose puck and a team that was willing to sacrifice, they just didn't score. If Im wrong on this correct me. There was no volume so I couldn't hear Harry Neale or Rick provide their input or between period comments from Razor or Mike Robitaille.

Thomas Vanek I thought played well and if he keeps working he will break out of his season long slump. I did not understand why Ryan Miller was in goal as I thought Thibault was getting the start so Miller would be fresh for Tuesdays big game and I think it is time to bench Max and Roy. Both took stupid penalties and Roy continues to flap his gums at the referee on the way to the penalty box instead of just sitting his ass down.

I have liked the effort the last two but not the results. We shall see what happens in the ice bowl Tuesday which by the way got some national media attention in Friday's USA Today.
