Swimming Comeback

Im finding the comeback is harder than I thought. I have been getting in but sparingly. The shoulders have been achy. I guess when you are carrying upwards of 100 pounds more than you competition weight your shoulders will carry a much bigger burden.

That said, Wednesday night was our swim clubs Swim-A-Thon fund raiser. I swam, and did 51 lenghts or roughly 1275 yards in one hour. It was one length or 25 yards more than I did in the last Swim-A-Thon last June 6th.

For our next one, my goal is 100 lengths or 2500 yards. That would be an accomplishment for one hour of swimming especially for where I am shape wise. Im going to get in again tonight and swim a 1000 or so just to keep me honest and then tomorrow Ill hit the bike and weight room a little to get the cardio/muscle strength built up a little.

Its going, but its going slow at the moment.
