Bush Cutting Domestic Spending
To that end, Bush will propose nearly $178 billion in savings from Medicare over five years_ nearly triple what he proposed last year. Much of the savings would come from freezing reimbursement rates for most health care providers for three years. An additional $17 billion would come from the Medicaid program, the state-federal partnership that provides health coverage to the poor.

The above statement should really put the final nail into George W.'s coffin. He has fucked this country and the budget up so much that we will not see an increase in medicaid or medicare reimbursements for 3 years.
That should not go over well for healthcare providers/hospitals and facilities that are struggling to meet rising costs due to fuel and the price of buying needed items in general continues to increase.
For health care providers it will likely mean stagnant salaries especially for those of us working at facilities that are largely funded by medicare/medicaid. I guess George really has been good for the healthcare community so keep supporting him!
He has gotten us into prolonged war in Iraq that we should have never started and because we have spent our resources on that, we have had to trim back healthcare and other important domestic issues. Lets worry about overseas first before we worry about spending on your own citizens. This administration really knows how to go out on a good note. Take away healthcare funds for those who really need it. The poor and disabled. Its about 11 1/2 months until this administration is history and it can't come soon enough. If we could it should happen sooner. Check out the following sites:
