On February 7th I wrote about how amazing Detriot was and how they had this choke hold on the west. Well, I am taking all that back just three weeks later. My how things have changed.

On February 7th, the Detroit Red Wings had 86 points, today, February 29th, they have 90. 4 points in three plus weeks for the mighty Detroit Red Wings. They were 17 points ahead of the Dallas Stars, a seemingly huge mountain to climb for Dallas.

Today, Dallas is just 3 points back with 87 points. If Dallas goes on to catch Detroit, I would have to believe it would be the biggest meltdown in NHL history. With how banged up Detroit is, Dallas may very well catch them too.
