Its been awhile since I have discussed the fart. All the talk recently around our house about taking the dog out to poop and pee got me checking out dog training sites and I just so happened to stumble upon The Facts on Farts Page. Yes thats right, facts on farts.

For instance one of the most interesting tidbits was where the word fart comes from.

The word Fart comes from the Old English Feortan, it was of echoic origin, which essentially means that the word was chosen to sound like the object it was named after......

Another tidbit which I invite both guys and girls to reply to this:

Do Men's Farts Smell Worse Than Women's?

According to the fart page: Scientific studies show that Women's farts have a higher concentration of odor causing gases than men. Men's farts are larger in volume however. The two factors cancel eachother out so the answer is essentially that they both smell about the same.

There is also a company called Fartypants that makes underwear designed to absorb the smell of a fart, now who would want to do such a thing?
