This is it, opening night, Jays at Yankees, the first week or so of this season will be a good test as to where the Jays stand with the top dogs in the AL. Series one is against the NY Yankees and their first series at home is against the defending champion Boston Red Sox.

I have said this earlier during my assessment of them position by position but never mind the rest of the lineup and the new faces, this team will go as far as Vernon Wells and Roy Halladay take them. They are the two longest tenured Jays and they will be the ones to lead this team back to the post season.

The difference between this year and the past few is that with those additions, Vernon and the Doc have just that much more of a supporting cast to help them out. Yes they have to lead the way, but they can afford off nights as long as their depth guys pick up the slack.
