Last night was great and Im not going to let this comment ruin all that happened that was good, but the behavior of some fans was enough to prompt not only myself but several callers to the post game show with Mike Wilner on the Fan 590.

There was a collection of fans in Rogers Centre last night that got out of hand and spoiled what would have been an outstanding night all around. I don't know what happened in the 500 level and I am kind of glad I couldn't see it from the 200 club level but what I could see was classless enough.

Of all my years of going to Jays games I have never, ever seen or heard of some of the things Jays fans pulled last night. From seeing the towels thrown onto the field to hearing of fights and severe hassling of Red Sox fans it was an unpleasant twist on what otherwise for me was a great night of baseball.

I want to see that place filled with 50,000 people again. However, it has to be like it was back in the World Series days. There was 50,000 in there every night with hardly a mention of craziness like what went on last night.

There is no reason with the population Toronto has, the Jays can not earn back and see those kinds of crowds. However, if what I saw last night continues, it is going to turn off a lot of people.

For those who were there, of all my years of going and the many games that I have been to, last night was the exception, not the rule.

Overall, Rogers Centre is a great place to see a game and its a fun and interactive place. Lets sell the place out again, give the team the support they deserve, and do it right.
