What About Dunn?

Adam Dunn is an interesting prospect. Hes playing in for the Reds in a contract year. The Reds are rumored to have him on the trade blocks. He is a left handed bat that the Jays could desparately use as well.

He also comes with back to back 40 homer seasons and in Roger's Centre a park known to be a great park for power hitters, Dunn could smack 50 or more.

Here is my question, are you willing to give up say Adam Lind for Adam Dunn? I would be for the short term. True Dunn can't hit for average, he would be lucky to hit his weight (literally, he weighs 275lbs). Actually .275 would be awesome for him. But he will hit the long ball and who knows maybe his average would go up in the dome with the ground rule doubles he would pile up.

I don't know what kind of mood JP is in right now but if there is a deal to be had for this guy, pull the trigger man. Wells, Rios, Dunn, Rolen, Overbay? Lights out! Good luck going through that. Throw Aaron Hill in there and you have 6 guys pitchers would hate to see.

Hes still young too, 29 years old so if you wanted to throw a contract his way, with his batting average and strikeout potential you could probably get him at $6-8 Million per season. No bad for a guy with 40+ home run power.
