Any Doubts Now?

Any doubts as to the depth and quality of the Blue Jay's pitching rotation and I point you to Jesse Litsch. I admit I was down on the guy before the season began, but look at the kid now.
Today, he improved his record to 6-1 and threw his first complete game and first shutout in the majors. Not bad for a kid in his second year and really first full year in the majors. He is on a staff with Roy Halladay, AJ Burnett, Dustin McGowan and Shaun Marcum. Right now, Jesse is the ace out of them.
How does that bode for a staff that has been outstanding and at times downright dominating. This staff is full of potential and Litsch is going out there and showing just how deep they are. Right now, they are five deep, five quality starters and not even New York or Boston can say they have that going for them.
I still say they need a lefty but as long as these guys pitch as well as they have been, let them go. Today marked the first time the Jays have thrown back to back complete games since Chris Carpenter and Kelvim Escobar did it in 2000 against none other than the Evil Empire, New York Yankees.
Litsch hadn't walked a guy since April 22 either going over 38 innings without issuing a walk. To quote a Sabre announcer, this guy is good, scary good!

Go Yanks!!!
