Its over, before its too late. They are still within shouting distance and its time before I have to sit there and watch this team be mis-managed one more night.

Two nights in a row this team has been handed losses late that should have never happened. Last night especially. Roy Halladay should have never been brought back for another inning, he was over a hundred pitches after the 7th and yet Gibbons leaves him go.

I understand that Halladay is your guy and you should stick with him in most circumstances but last night was not one of them. Then, after loading the bases the wheels fell off.

Sorry, but John Gibbons needs to be relieved of his duties. Give the managerial job to Ernie Whitt. This team needs some Blue Jay Blood in charge and I could just see Whitt cringing at the sight of the management job of Gibbons and waiting his turn.

This team has seen a ton of late leads blown and to me, its poor managing that loses games late, plain and simple. If you have a chance to win a ball game it is the managers responsibility to put the team in a position to win, the last two nights were glaring examples. I understand this team hasn't been hitting wtih runners in scoring position and maybe we need to look at Gary Denbo too for that answer. Hes the hitting instructor on this team. There needs to be some wholesale changes but not necessarily from the outside.

Ernie Whitt could take over managing and give Cito a call to see if he would like to take on a position as hitting instructor. Maybe he just doesn't want the responsibilities of managing a team.  

I hope JP reads this because if he does, its time, make the change. I know you have had some injury problems but nothing like last year. This team for all intensive purposes is healthy and has more depth than it has had in years. Its time to take out the supposed leader and replace him with someone competent.
