With pitching like this who needs offense? Dustin McGowan was sensational tonight as the Jays finished a four game sweep of the Chicago White Sox and pull to within one game of .500. They remain 4 games out of the top spot but here are some numbers to keep in mind:

Since April 26th their team ERA has been 1.02 that is tops in the Majors. They have won 5 in a row and though the bats have been showing signs of life, they still are not hitting on all cylinders.

BJ Ryan has been cleared for back to back games so he will start rounding into form and instead of going into May without the best closer in the American League and possibly the Majors they enter May of 2008 with him and with him healthy.

Next stop: .500 and beyond!
