How stupid do the airlines think we are? Better yet how dumb are the airlines? No sooner than does American Airlines announce that they are charging to have ONE bag, count them, 1 bag checked for luggage, an announcement comes out about the billions of dollars of wasted fuel due to delays.

I call it stupidity on the part of the airlines. American Airlines I predict will be out of business for their genius move before the end of the year. Who in their right mind will fly an airline that charges you to bring one friggin suitcase? $15 for the first and then $25 for the second.

Why insult the traveler? Just raise the price of tickets, no one would notice a modest increase in ticket prices and you could quietly say it was for the increased cost of fuel even if they did. A move like that people might understand but no one is going to buy the charging for one suitcase. Almost everyone takes one suitcase with them when flying or one bag that needs to be checked.  

But now we know why. The dumb ass airlines have a problem scheduling flights and therefore clog up runways creating delays and thereby burn billions worth of fuel away. I realize some of these delays are weather related, but most are under booked flights creating over crowded runways and so instead of eliminating needless flights the airlines keep them and waste fuel with their thumbs up their asses.

American Airlines just happens to be the biggest jack ass of them all with their little attempt to squeeze every last dollar out of the average traveler. I don't think we are that stupid even if American Airlines does and I guarantee that they will see a decline in patrons because of their bogus move.

In the meantime, the airlines better get their act together because traveling by plane is no longer a possibility for the average American. Eliminate their wasteful delays and maybe they could lower rates and wouldn't need luggage fees, wouldn't that be nice.
