The Blue Jays got their brooms in gear as they swept the Minnesota Twins. This team has been through big highs and big lows and the result is they are one game away from .500 again. However, this recent surge combined with the lackluster play of the Yankees puts them a half game ahead of NY.

Will the real Jays please stand up? The outfield with the addition of Wilkerson and Mench looks like it will hold up through Vernon Wells absence and may even thrive and Scott Rolen has shown up and been productive since his return.

The key now is not to lose 4 in a row. Either keep winning or don't lose the next series but don't erase this latest surge by getting swept against the Phillies this weekend. We know this pitching staff is going to be lights out this year, all we need from the batters is production, it doesn't even have to be pretty, just be productive in key situations and let your starters and bullpen hold the leads. It doesn't matter if you win pretty 11-2 or win ugly 3-2 just score one more run than the opponent and everything else will work itself out.
