This Is Getting Old

I mean really, the Jays haven't had a pitching staff this good ever. Even though their record doesn;t show it, the Jays starters have been superb all season so far. The first 6 games of the year were all quality starts lasting 6 innings or longer. Last night they lost 5-4 but AJ Burnett struck out 10. Tonight is a different story.

Shaun Marcum had a 1 hitter through 8 plus innings tonight and a shutout. He just lost the shutout bid and was replaced by Scott Downs but geez the starters continue to go deep into games and give this team a chance night in and night out.

Barring a minor Tampa Miracle inning this will be 6 wins in their last 7 games and they keep chugging along. Tomorrow has to be a win to take the series from Tampa and start making up some ground on the AL East.
