Bo Diddley passed away today and all I can say is that musicians have come and gone, some have left their mark and influenced all sorts of bands and others come and go quietly.

Bo Diddley was one of those that influenced everyone from the Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix to The Sex Pistols and the Clash to modern day rock bands like the The Tragically Hip and Pearl Jam. He came from a time when rock and roll was in its infancy with the likes of Chuck Berry.

His mark on music probably hasn't even been close to realized yet. I have a greatest hits of Bo Diddley and it was in my cassette player this afternoon (yes I still have those).
