Giving You More Than Just My Two Cents
It Is No Longer A War

I read in the paper this morning that there were fewer deaths in Iraqi war (15) than in Afghanistan last month (19). Thats great. Really. Its time to stop calling it a war and start calling it an OCCUPATION.
There are probably 15 murders a month in the city of Buffalo, the only difference is the federal government isn't sending Buffalo billions of dollars every month.
My point is, for 15 US lives do we really need to be there anymore? If its not about Bin Laden, its not about the oil, leave well enough alone, save face and get out. Stop wasting the billions there, that could be spent here.
Give me a break on the Al Qaeda is in Iraq bit, they are not going to follow us home if we leave. They want us out so they can govern themselves. They have no weapons of mass destruction and honestly, if they are going to start a civil war after we leave, good, let them go at it with each other, at least we are out safe and the money can be better spent here.
There is always, ALWAYS going to be violence in the middle east long after our troops are home, if you think otherwise you are just kidding yourself. So to stay there until there are no deaths, thats never going to happen. So call it what ever you want, but to me its an occupation of a country. Maybe, we can make it the 51st state before the election and count their votes for our next president. We send enough money there, we might as well make it one of ours.

Like somalia, germany, russia, italy........we occupy all lands. You should be proud that you lived through this period. a pres finally had the balls to establish western civilization in a part of the world that has shut out everyone for the eternity of life as we know it.
Ever think that this part of the world doesn't want our way of life or is not capable of it. There has been fighting and holy wars in that part of the world before the West was ever discovered. There will be holy wars there long after we pull our troops out. They don't want to be christians or catholics, they don't want capitalism, they don't care about democracy like we do, Id even argue that while we are trying to show them democracy, ours is broken as it is, how can we teach them something when our own system is broken.
We won't pull our troops out. Whoever is president next, both of the front runners on both sides, have in someway said that already. The "WAR" (Poor spin cycle) may end but we are there for a long time. As far as religion you are correct. It is the true holy land where all religon and life, for that matter originated, that battle will never end. Our democracy is broken because it is not a ture democracy. Never was, never will be. When you vote you are not casting a vote for an individual but telling a delegate how you want them to vote. If they vote that way or not it is up to them. There are two (both recent) examples of this. The constitution does not give you the right to vote for the president. Read it.
