Its Time To Make The Move
Tap this guy on the shoulder and tell him its time. Time for JP Riccardi to leave. Pack up his shit and go home. He can take John Gibbons with him.
I have had it with poor management of an under achieving ball club. JP has made his share of good moves, but he has also made his share of garbage moves. He also doesn't know when to shut his trap. The Cincinnati Reds are coming to town next week and JP gets on the air and tells a fan that Adam Dunn can't hit and the Jays have no interest in bringing him to Toronto.
No wonder they had to pay AJ Burnett $55 million for his mediocre arm.
John Gibbons has shown time and time again that he cannot handle the players in his clubhouse, especially the ones with any kind of attitude. Well, maybe thats why this lineup is so flat, they need someone with a little "vinegar".
Ernie Whitt should be licking his chops because with each passing loss, John Gibbons is getting closer and closer to the trash dump. Ernie would be an instant fan favorite as manager and someone who bleeds Blue Jay Blue. Hes a competitor who would no doubt at the very least, put some asses in the seats during the remainder of what is soon to be a lost season.
As far as Riccardi's job, the Mets just fired the guy who could potentially do it. Willie Randolph. The Yankees would hate us for taking one of their own but wouldn't that be fun. Willie Randolph as GM in Toronto? It won't happen, its a pipe dream, but its about time management started putting a little money and time into a decent GM and manager to get this team a better reputation and back on track. Randolph as GM, Whitt as manager? Start screaming up there for it and maybe someone will listen.

As I said before, piss on them. I have converted and am now a Yankee's fan. Every game is on TV in high def and they are managed well.
