Teenage head

This week I discovered a lot of bands for the second time as I browsed my IPod and ITunes. I will be sharing some of those bands with you over the next several Sundays but first this is a well known band for those of us who grew up around the US/Canadian border and tuned into CFNY over the years. One of my readers from across the border Rob Reed sent me some pictures from a recent Teenage Head show. These guys are getting a little grey and maybe the leather jacket doesn't help but according to Rob these guys still rock.

I couldn't agree more. Teenage Head had a handful of catch punk songs that did trickle south of the border at times to US border cities and towns. This song just happens to be one of them, its a live version off Youtube so the video is a little rough, it features their biggest hit Let's Shake and Luv for Sale:

I appreciate the unexpected attention and I'm sure Teenage Head does as well. Well I'm headed your way this week to the Finger Lakes region of historic Watkins Glen to take in the NASCAR race. It's such a beautiful area and the people of the Glen are "oh so" friendly to the tens of thousands of fans that invade their quaint little village. I'll send some pics your way when I return..I've packed the Guinness and Export Ale and we have vintage CFNY from the nooner years ago on tape...still!!! Don't forget The Forgotten Rebels...Mickey DeSadist is still going strong and hooks up with members of Teenage Head once in a while for a Johnny Thunder's tribute..Awesome shows in a small venue, here in Hamilton..Cheers as always,,,Rob
