AJ Can't Leave
AJ Burnett who is having a career year with the Toronto Blue Jays has hinted at leaving. The lastest one to speculate is none other than Cito Gaston saying that AJ will probably test the market.
Heres the thing, AJ hasn't earned the previous two years of this contract, he owes it to himself and the Jays to stay through year 5. Besides why would a guy who is finally having success with a club want to go somewhere else with all the uncertainties of starting over with a new team? Besides that, under Gaston the team is playing well again and looks to be headed in the right direction with some tweaks to the offense for next year, this is a team that will contend. How many times do you see it in sports as often as guys sign with new teams and experience success, there are those who leave teams and fall flat on their faces. AJ if he leaves will not only be letting the team that gave him that ridiculous contract of $55 million down but he will ultimately be setting himself up for failure. Starting with a new pitching coach, a new team, new setting....hes finally comfortable in Toronto and pitching lights out ball and he wants to leave that? I find that hard to believe. Then again hes a major league baseball player, I shouldn't be so surprised.
He is not comfortable in toronto...your post proves that. He would do better with a better team. Toronto is the AAAA team of the AL. They suck period.

Who cares if he lied. Congress lies to all of us all the time and get away with it. I'm not saying it's okay to lie, but if Congress isn't held to the same standard then what's the point......:-)
