Don't Let The Woman Fool You
The republicans are going to try to play this up as "cracking the glass ceiling". However, the ceiling to this point has been cracked.
Geraldine Ferraro was the first woman as a vice presidential candidate in 1984 with democrat Walter Mondale. Its happened before.
That is part of the problem with people in this country, most are uneducated and don't even know this and the ones who are educated are forgetful of our nations history.
The media has yet to bring up Ferraro and that kind of surprises me. Usually they would be all over the comparisons or providing the history. Instead they themselves are treating this as some historical thing that has never happened before.
Now, winning would be a first and that would crack the ceiling. However, since this got off on a bad foot by Palin claiming to be McCain's answer to Hilary, winning is out of the question. She is already proven to be an abuser of power and someone you can't trust, of course we elected George W. and Cheney twice so that shouldn't be surprising.
The only glass ceiling that is going to be cracked is Obama becoming the first African American president.

I don't think anything is going to played up as cracking a glass celing. Obama is as much white as he is african american. In fact I think it is a demowhak trick. They dyed his skin...anyways it was nice to here Geraldine with the drive by libs today supporting McCain, and Palin. It was blowing their minds. Next they will report she is suffering from some mental illness and knows not what she speaks. And I agree with the above post. The dems are sunk. Palin has done more for this country as gov. of Alaska than Obama did in the senate(your educated so you should be aware of her accomplishments). O wait your primary source of info is CNN. My Bad.
I think after following this site for some time BBoy's problem is that he truly is a typical liberal democrat. He often fails to see what lies behind the headlines. He is pro lib/dem no matter how absurd or off base the "stories" he reads or hears are. I think he should think about curbing the democrat versus republican view he seems to have and look at what lies behind the issues. Every news story that is plastered in the news and on the TV is not what it seems.
I see what lies behind the headlines Freddie B. What is your problem is that you will follow a failing president into the ground and will put up with the same crap from a McCain presidency. You are blindly supporting what is going to be more of the same republican crap, Sarah Palin will abuse the power of the white house, a female version of Dick Cheney and John McCain is A)not healthy enough to go 8 years and B) has shown that he lacks the judgement necessary to run this country with his blind pick of a truly under qualified VP.
