McCain's Crappy Idea of Healthcare
Anyone involved in healthcare, anyone who is eligible or receiving medicare benefits or anyone who is disabled and receiving medicaid benefits should read this.
John McCain plans to pay for his healthcare plan by reducing medicare and medicaid by $1.3 trillion dollars. Thats a lot of Medicare, a program for the elderly that is needed by people after they retire. Medicaid a program that yes its abused, but is needed by those with developmental disabilities who can't work or those with life altering illnesses, conditions and injuries.
His plan, gives you and me a $5000 TAX CREDIT to buy our own healthcare. The only problem is the average family plan costs $12,000 a year. How do you and I, the average citizens of this country cough up the other $7000? Chump change to a guy whose wifey wears $300,000 dresses and has nine homes I'm sure, but to average citizens of the middle class, we don't have $7000 floating around for healthcare.
Cuts to medicare and medicaid of that size should worry a lot of people, especially those medical facilities whose income is primarily medicare and medicaid based.
Yahoo a man who forms his ideas based on logic...not on his heart.
Lets see...if people in this freeloader country start learning how to budget their earnings, learn that although you may want it you may not get it because you cant afford it, and stop thinking everything is their right it would be a start. It is too easy for people get credit, free money in the eyes of most (look at the mess unfolding) and waste their money on shit without saving a penny. I remember being taught to "save for a rainy day" where did that line of thought go? It would be a start.
So you must be one of those $250,000 a year earners, you have $7000 burning a whole in your pocket every year to pay for health insurance. That must be nice, you are one of the ones Obama wants to raise taxes on so the peasants like us don't have to worry about healthcare.
Healthcare is a right, not a privilege. If I get sick I have a right to get treated and cared for.
So McCain's plan, unless your employer is fronting the other $7000 your shit out of luck.
Also what if I make $20,000 a year, what is he going to do, refund me a quarter of my gross income so I can pay for health insurance? How is someone making $20-30,000 a year supposed to come up with the rest? Thats not something people making that kind of money should be expected to budget for.
I think they should with common sense it is possible....I do it.
The only right anyone has is to breathe. And from what I read on this site it is questionable if some of you should even have that right.

We have the right to sit on our asses, get fat, live off the hog, sue someone who works for a living, have baby after baby to icrease my payments, get drunk and kill someone, buy a house we can't afford, have 10 mill. in credit card debit to buy everything we want and can't afford and shouldn't have, rape, kill (both those who have been born and those who have not), file bankruptsy, let everyone else pay for it, get medical care for nothing, feed your children for nothing, own a pet and claim it as a dependant, suck at your job and still get promoted based on your seniority and tenur, slander our own country and charge a trip to a 3rd world country then come home and complain some more, we don't have to think ... most Americans can't do that any more thanks to the commie lib media....tell me what and how to behave another left wing ploy toward govt control..and yes Boofalo boy you are a victim a victim i say..but thats ok the "others" will care for you and your kind. These are the things that have and will continue to ruin this country. Nothing is or should be free or your right. that makes little sense when it comes to logic and reality. If that is what you want you should look at moving to a place where you can get that.
Okay, so if I get sick, deathly ill, and I don't have health insurance, can't pay for treatment, according to you, I have no right to be treated because I can't pay and should therefore be left for dead?
I have new for you, there are several other things in this country that we already have rights to like a free public education, which is slowly being taken away from us with this massive movement toward charter schools, we have the right to fire protection which for all intensive purposes is free, we have the right to police protection, Don't you think healthcare should be in that mix?
Think about this one Joe, the $700 Billion we just bailed out the rich CEOs with, would have paid for universal healthcare for every single American. Personally, Id rather have the health insurance paid for.
See that is your problem. It is not free you pay for it in taxes. That is why you think it is free.
So then let me ask you, would you rather pay another $10-20 per check in taxes or pay a $100-200 healthcare premium? Id take the taxes. Id rather know that for a little extra in taxes that I won't have to worry about a hospital bill or any serious illness putting me under. I would rather eliminate the greed of coorporate, privately run insurance companies that deny, deny deny coverage something that you pay on to have cover you when you need it most. In a universal healthcare system there is no worry about who is paying, its covered.
Medicine and caring for the sick shouldn't be about who has and who doesn't have, Jesus if you are Christian healed the sick, not for money, for free. Because he was an Altruistic human being. He cared without expecting anything in return. The US system is all about money, the haves and the have nots, the priviledged and the not priviledged.
Look, I got into healthcare to care for people who were hurt, I knew I would get paid a respectable salary and thats fine, but when all you hear in the field is how much do we get for that, how much do we get for that, we can't see you because your insurance won't pay, its sickening.
So would you rather have fire and police protection be about who can afford it? What kind of a fucked up society would that be? Im sorry sir but your house was robbed but since you can't pay for the police to be there up front we won't be able to provide you with police protection, being raped, sorry, no money we can't protect you.
How would you like it if you had to pay out of pocket for your kids to start school in kindergarten instead of the taxes you pay?
