Scary Songs

| | Comments (3)

Halloween is fast approaching and I seem to be enjoying this holiday more and more every year. Today I have a scary song, Concrete Blonde's Bloodletting (The Vampire Song). Concrete Blonde actually formed in the early 1980s and they were originally named Dream 6 until none other than Michael Stipe of REM suggested the new name.

The song and album entitled Bloodletting was released in 1990 and I saw them the following year open for Sting at Skydome on Sting's Soul Cages tour.

How can you even go there? The bass line is haunting, the deep guitars, this is one of the most gothic songs out there and by the way, one of the best groups to comeout of the 80s and early 90's punk/alternative scene.

this was a very entertaining read. i enjoyed it very much!
