I didn't post the game from Friday because I wanted to post the weekend as a package. The Sabres played a sloppy game defensively against Atlanta giving up three, one goal leads. That game should have been 4-3 but defensively they didn't back check. They got caught up in a wild end to end shootout with a team that if allowed to open it up will. 4 on 4 in the overtime, Atlanta deserved it, they kept coming back and took advantage of Buffalo not coming back with the third man.

There is a good pity point and a bad pity point, Friday night was not a good point, when you have the lead three separate times during the game and with less than 10 minutes left, you have to get 2, no exceptions. 

Last night, Buffalo over corrected in Boston. They were too conservative and too defensive minded and the offense wasn't there. Miller I thought played well and the defense played a good game but the offense was too defensive minded and just got beat to pucks in the Bruins zone.

Either way Ruff couldn't have been happy with Friday night and last night was over correcting on defense. There has to be balance boys.

Next up, St. Louis and Jay McKee come to town.
