Bruins 7, Sabres 4

Well, thats what the Sabres get for not listening to all of my advice, Max was still on the team and Andrew Peters was still in the lineup. They did insert Patrick Kaleta and Drew Stafford back in but more out of the fact that TIm Connolly and Ales Kotalik are injured.

This team defensively is in disarray, its more a matter of this team being outskated and out worked at key times during the games. Last Friday they outshot Columbus decidedly but got beat 6-1, tonight, they were in this thing until the end of the second period and outshot Boston overall and still end up on the wrong end.

They are getting out hustled in their own zone and out skated to pucks in the offensive zones. They aren't working for rebounds and its killing them. They played well for the first half and did their job offensively, but lets face it, the defense is lacking and its got to be driving Lindy Ruff absolutely insane.

This is now 17 goals given up in three games. I don't care who you are, you are not going to win many games giving up an average of 6 goals a game. No offense in the league can keep pace with a defense that plays that poorly and to call all those goals the goaltenders fault would be looking at the games with a blind eye. When the defense plays like that the only thing that would stop a puck is a brick wall.

So, the suckiness continues, I think its getting time that Darcy Regier makes a move here and a big one because its looking like a streak that this team is not going to escape from anytime soon.
