Islanders 4, Sabres 2
Well, now what? At the end of 40 minutes last night the Sabres were outshooting the Islanders 31-14 but losing 2-1. What more do you have to do? Its still not enough.
Some positives at this point:
1. Lindy Ruff has finally given up on Max, FINALLY!
2. Mark Mancari has played in two games and looked great in two games and scored his first NHL goal.
3. Drew Stafford and Daniel Paille look like they are turning the corner.
Some negatives that need to be addressed:
1. Decide on Teppo: He is 40, not the future of this team, call up Mike Weber and look to package Numminen for something.
2. Ales Kotalik needs to be shipped out as well. Enough with the inconsistent play. Yes hes a 20 goal scorer but with consistency he should be a 30-40 goal scorer.
3. Andrew Peters is still playing.
So here we are, 5 losses in a row and this coming week is not easy with two division games and one against the Pittsburgh Penguins. It would be nice to go 2-1 in those three. At least try to breathe some life into this thing.
We r n ass bitten team. We have a lot of changes that we could and need 2 make. At least the ills won thiseekend. that won't matter though at this point. I hate buffalo, im going home.
Miller needs to go. He is a pompus crap pile.
