Sometimes our government goes overboard. That goes without saying right? One example is the enhanced IDs that we are all going to need if we want to go over the border starting June 1st.

Why the hell is this even an issue. I have news for you, if someone wants to get in illegally they are going to do it with or without these enhanced IDs. If I didn't already have a passport I'd be making a bigger deal about this.

Those of us living in Western New York and Sounthern Ontario and other border towns should be except from this program entirely. The average person who goes up to Toronto to see a Leafs game or Jays game or to go shopping for a long weekend has to fork over the extra $45 on top of the license they already have.

Why not just automatically replace our license when our licenses come up for renewal and allow this thing to happen gradually. You pay about that much anyway.

Its all a government ploy making you feel like your safer when really its just a hoax to collect more fees and taxes from our wallets for another ID that really, isn't needed. I have a lot of trouble buying into the average US or Canadian citizen having to shell out the money for a couple hour trip to the casino or a couple hour shopping trip.
