The Plus Deck Ex Is Coming
The Plus Deck Ex is coming. Its been on back order since my birthday in July. Its an external drive that actually allows you to convert cassettes directly to MP3.
I can't wait to get this thing, the audio clips I will be able to produce will be much improved. It allows me to record just about anything, AM/FM, directly off the internet, cassette and more. It will also allow me to be very selective in what I record and save.
I will be able to save 20-30 second sound bytes from a cassette and then fast forward to the next clip I want. My lovely wife is looking forward to this as my cassettes, as I download them, will be placed in a box and put in storage until I get my own basement with which to display my entire collection.

They only have two in stock.
Those are the internal drive, the one I have coming is an external drive that plugs in via USB cable.
Pretty cool, but anyone with a decent sound card, Audacity installed on their computer, some cables from Radio Shack, and an old Nakamichi tape deck can do the same exact thing for much less.
