Good bye AJ Burnett. You weren't worth but a third of the contract that you played for with the Toronto Blue Jays and with your history, you won't earn a quarter of the obscene money the Yankees are paying you now.
The Evil Empire just signed another over priced and for the most part during his career a mediocre pitcher in AJ Burnett. I hope the Yankees miss the playoffs again with their gigantic payroll and I hope they keep spending money like idiots. Can you hear MLB ringing up the cash register for the luxury tax the Yankees will have to pay?
If you include the luxury tax, it has to be well over $300 million. Just insane. Good luck NY, good luck Joe Giradi keeping the egos in check, good luck keeping AJ healthy, good luck keeping the rest of the team healthy.
The good news is, AJ is off the payroll and we will get two compensatory draft picks in the first round from the Evil Empire.

I'm not a baseball fan, but this whole episode stinks to the high heavens. WHY in God's name is congress (A group of liars if there ever was one) WASTING their valuable time on a baseball player who allegedly lied about taking drugs that may even kill him someday. The country is in the grip of a horrible mess caused by the inattention of politicians for the last 30 years. That boil is getting ready to burst,and here we have Congress trying to "look busy". It's really disgusting. It's impossible for Congress to hold anyone in contempt, because that is the feeling that the entire country has -against THEM!.....:-)
