Last year on Christmas Eve was not the best of news around here. Our good friend Don Simmons passed away. We called him Uncle Don, he was like family and always will be remembered as such.

One year after he is gone and some things still don't seem the same. This year, we will remember him by doing what he would want us to do, have a good time and enjoy life. Especially days like today when family time means so much to us.

It was the one time last year that I wore a Yankees hat, in tribute to Don, he was a huge Yankees fan and maybe Ill see if I can find that hat again today as a tribute to Daddy as we all called him.
