Mark the date, yesterday, Ryan Miller finally stood on his head and won a game for the Sabres last night. Miller made 40 saves as he watched his team put on what would have ordinarily been a rather poor offensive display with only 23 shots.

It was almost the opposite of the Columbus game I went to a few weeks ago that saw the Sabres lose 6-1 inspite of outshooting Columbus 37-25 and literally dominating in the Columbus zone through the first two periods of that game.

LA last night controlled the game both the tempo and the physical play. They could have and should have won that game if not for Ryan Miller and a lot of lucky bounces. Yes they won, but it was not a happy win. Sometimes you have to be lucky instead of good and last night Buffalo was lucky.

Drew Stafford kept up his recent surge and Derek Roy had three points. One final question, can anyone tell me why Adam Mair who has had a total of 27 goals over his career was on the power play?? Tonight against Montreal, they have to be good.
