I finally got some time to sit down and listen to this jackass Mark Sanford babble his way through his apology.

Both Democrats and Republicans do it to varying degrees, they all hold their religion up at their respective podiums when they speak regardless of what the situation is, but Republicans hold their religious and moral standards in front of them to try and justify their wrong doings.

Could Mark Sanford have used the Bible and his religion anymore and not sounded like a complete hippocrit? He completely justified his actions, thinking that because of this morals and faith that he will somehow be cleansed of his wrong doings. God's law? WTF was that? How about taking responsibility for your own actions, Religion is for those who can't take responsibility for their own actions.

The fact is, when you hold your religion up there for all of us to sit there and get sick over your outright lies, it means nothing. Stop thinking that just because you quote a few verses doesn't mean that you will be any more forgiven than if you just said Im a friggin idiot, I did what I did and it was a choice I made. It had nothing to do with religion.

The sad fact is that Sanford was one of the republicans who called for Bill Clinton's impeachment over a blow job. At least Clinton remained in office to get it. This guy left for Argentina and used government money and time to do it.

He should resign. He said it was a mistake, no a mistake is a one time thing, a momentary lapse of judgement, this was a conscience effort to repeatedly have sex with a woman outside of your marriage.
