No Goal Two

This was the worst of the two no goals in my opinion. They had replay showing that the puck went in through the side of the net.</p>

The Brett Hull no goal had shades of gray, this one had none. It was not a goal and should have been called as such. John Leclair got away with murder on this.

Glenn Beck Can't Spell

Okay, so, how many screw ups does FOX News need to see out of Glenn Beck before they can him. He blows up at a caller and calls them an idiot and tells them to get off his show, then he calls the President a racist, now the guy can't spell.

If he has any viewers left they are the toothless, racist, ignorant deep south folks who can't spell either. Glenn Beck you spell Oligarchy with a C....Seriously, if you can't spell the word you are talking about how much credibility do you have?

Steelers 17, Bills 0

bills by you.

Okay Bills fans, this is getting ugly, four pre-season games not one touchdown from the first unit. That is downright awful. When is this team going to show up?

Better yet, when is Dick Jauron getting fired? He leads a coaching staff that has absolutely no creativity or ability to adapt appropriately in different situations.

To make matters worse as bad as the offense is the defense might be just as bad. No one on that defense can pressure the QB which is partly a function of the crappy cover 2 defense they run.

I will give the defense this, holding Pittsburgh to 17 is and should be a winnable game for the offense. What makes that useless information though is that the offense showed not even a glimmer of hope, not one sign that they were interested in playing a productive game. The play calling sucked and they basically laid down and continued their short, play it safe crap that maddens Bills fans.

Whats even more maddening is that they rushed the ball a grand total of 13 times. For a team that wants to run the ball and has three good running backs why are they not running more?

Trent Edwards was actually out played by Ryan Fitzpatrick, it wasn't even close. Edwards better be hoping he still has a job in a few weeks because Fitzpatrick has outplayed him as a whole in the pre-season.

The Sabres start in 19 days btw with their first pre-season game on September 17th. Im predicting they will benefit from increased attention early on because The Bills will be in the toilet by the time the season opener is upon us. Dick Jauron will be gone before October.

Sunday Retro

This one goes way back, but its the perfect summer song despite the fact that they shoot the video in the dead of winter. It makes sense though considering the song is about a guy down on his luck.

Thats kind of how this summer has gone, yesterday I was informed that since Memorial Day we have have had exactly 2 rain free weekends....Ill bet those both happened in June because July and August so far have sucked ass.

This summer has been down on its luck. This song however, is one of the perfect summer tunes.

My ITunes/IPod Store Idea

ipod-nano-front

Ive had this idea floating around my head for a while and since I haven't seen any stores like this pop up I'll let my idea out here and see if anyone likes it.

Seeing that there are still those music traditionalists out there who like to see the liner notes and hold the CD cover/artwork in their hands that go with the music I thought that a cool idea for an Itunes/digital music store would kind of a docking station for IPod/digital music players.

The store would provide docks in which owners of IPods and other digital devices could plug in and download the music via their format of choice. The store would negotiate a percentage of the purchase to pay for the docks and overhead and to make their profit.

The real catch would be that after downloading the user could come to customer service who would carry the CD booklets of the top albums and be able to special order any that were not in stock. The linernotes/booklets would run a small fee say 2-3 bucks per depending on the album, more for boxsets and bigger compilations.

Everyone wins in this situation, the purists get the liner notes/packaging that would go with the music and get their music downloaded, one stop shopping. That is the one thing I miss when I buy a record on ITunes, no liner notes, no cd cover to look through.

Thoughts? Like/Dislike? If you have the capital to sponsor this idea let me know.

Bill Gates: Hurricane Stopper....But Should We?

hurricane

Just when we thought Bill Gates couldn't become more powerful he proves that maybe he has a little too much money. He now claims that he has come up with a way to stop hurricanes. Thats a claim that at first glance most would say....okay great thats a good thing.

But, lets think about this for a few minutes before we give Gates a round of applause and the go ahead to play "God". Has he or anyone else involved in his weather control project stopped to think if they should stop hurricanes? Hurricanes are massive systems that release a tremendous amount of the atmosphere's pent up energy. If they were meant to be stopped there would be a switch or trigger associated with them.

They are a natural phenomenom that despite the damage they cause, are necessary for the rain the provide, the cleansing of the atmosphere that takes place in their wake.

I can see the want to do it, to save lives and save property damage but really, is it the hurricanes fault that we as humans are stupid enough to live where they do the most damage? That we have to live right on top of the coastlines where they impact the most. Hurricanes came way before we did, maybe its our lifestyles we have to change before we go trying to control the weather in extreme ways. Who knows how it would impact other weather patterns on a global scale.

Scientists said in the article that they doubt this will accomplish the goal that Gates has set out to do which is good news, but we should seriously stop and think if this kind of thing should even be considered. Stick to computers Bill.

Sabres Want Miro?

satan

Warning for Sabres fans, the following is a direct quote out of Yahoo Sports NHL Rumors. Yes they are just rumors but generally the ones posted on Yahoo Sports generally have some truth to them.

"Past rumors this summer had the Buffalo Sabres, the Philadelphia Flyers, and Detroit Red Wings interested in Satan but he supposedly prefers the Islanders."

No not the devil "Satan", Miro Satan, you know the one we all loved to hate? Apparently the Sabres had and maybe still have some interest in signing him. Which again leads me to ask WTF Darcy?

You go out and get Mike Grier who you should have kept and then rumors are showing that you want to bring in someone we don't want and didn't want when he left?

We need a new GM in Buffalo, Darcy Regier has lost his marbles. Im not sure we can take another shot of an aging Miroslav Satan in a Sabres uniform. The last thing we need is a lazy, underperforming, aging veteran who doesn't play defense.

The first sign that this guy sucks is the fact that he WANT TO GO TO THE ISLANDERS, which if they want him, they can have him. He wants to go there because lets face it, Islander fans don't expect much and therefore, he has no one holding him accountable for his lack of effort.

Sunday Retro

Im continuing the summer theme on Sunday Retro all the way til September 21st. The summer we have had needs all the encouragement we can give it and this week Bananarama sums up this summer with their song Cruel Summer.

It has been cruel, very cruel. Yesterday my wife's baby shower despite the rain went on outdoors as planned. I guess when you have a summer that can't seem to go more than two straight days without a hiccup you have to give the weather the finger and forge onward.

Im finiding it harder and harder to find videos that Youtube isn't copyrighting the audio to so I may have to just start Imeeming them and doing just the audio.

Humble and Fred Fridays

Nothing Says Friday quite like Humble and Fred, that is why as I get new clips from the dozens of Humble and Fred tapes I have recorded I will post a clip or two every Friday.

This clip come from a show that featured a semi-regular guest on CFNY by the name of LA Chris. I to this day don't know what to make of those "bits". Maybe one of the guys can comment on it on BBM, come on, its been 10 years now, was LA Chris a real guy from LA who worked at a 7 Eleven or was this just a bit? Doesn't matter cause it was funny as hell.

Republicans Have Nothing

Democrats vs. Republicans

Republicans really have nothing. They have nothing right now they can say, their arguments against healthcare are empty as shown by their Hitler remarks which are baseless and disgusting and now the economy is and has been slowly coming back.

Yesterday was a strong case toward that when GM announced that they would be opening up assembly lines at the Tonawanda plant and hiring back hundreds of employees all due to.....CASH FOR CLUNKERS.

Its working, Obama's economic recovery plan is working, they never said it would work overnight and they never said it wouldn't have some flaws, but it is working. Home sales are up as well, another good sign.

Republicans the whole way have been saying no, no, no and meanwhile slowly Obama is saying yes, yes, yes.

Why can't the repukes just get on board and swallow their pride and work with the guy? If they don't they will regret it at the mid-term elections.

Cancer Just Sucks

cancer

The last few days have brought some bad news for both a friend/co-worker of my dad's and two former Grand Island students who were a year or so younger than my class.

Without naming names because I want to respect privacy, our two former GI classmates died of cancer....a shocker that Im sure all their former classmates are going to need a lot of time to get over.

My dad's friend will with any luck and some time and pain make a full recovery after he loses his kidney. He was completely healthy prior to feeling abdominal pain and went to the doctor had a bunch of tests thought it was an infection and turned out it was cancer.

Cancer is such sucky thing. One minute you are living life, the next minute your life is ruined. Everything you worked for is put on hold or lost completely. It can strike the completely healthy or could take advantage of those who chose not to take care of themselves...it does not discriminate, which is why its such a scary disease.

I have gone two months now without health insurance and every time I feel a pain or tingle i wonder if its going to be that life changing illness or disease.

My thoughts go out to those I mentioned above....its got to be one of the hardest things, if not THE hardest thing to go through because chances are, even with a recovery your life will not be the same ever again.

Cancer Sucks.....plain and simple. Live life, you never know what sucky thing life will throw at you, including this one.

There Are NO "DEATH PANELS"

The Real Death Squad from left: Miss Dolores Umbridge from Harry Potter (AKA Sarah Palin), Sean Hannity, and Rush the Fat Ass Limbaugh.....

DoloresUmbridge          Hannity-Sean          rush_limbaugh_90x124

Contrary to what republicans and specifically what Miss "Dolores Umbridge" Palin has been suggesting recently, there are NO DEATH PANELS being proposed. Whats more disturbing is the "Death Panel" talk is turning into a "don't trust your doctors" speech from little miss brainless.

The fact is what conservatives are referring to as "death panels" is as simple as what we do now in healthcare and its paid for by medicare or medicaid which are oh no, don't look now....government paid plans and guess what, the private insurance companies pay for it too. What we have now are called....HEALTHCARE PROXYS, DO NOT RESUSITATE ORDERS or DNR's, Hospice/pallative care for those who are at the end of life.

I take cases for Hospice so I must be on the so called "Death Panel". However, I can tell you I have not once seen anyone suggest that someone needs to die early just because they are on hospice. Hospice provides patients with every means of living a comfortable end of life as they can. That is what Hospice does, they insure your comfort and your families comfort during one of the most stressful times of a persons life.

Upon entrance to any nursing home/home care service one of the questions we have to ask as practitioners is whether that person has a healthcare proxy or living will. The other question we have to ask is if that person has any DNR orders. So it goes on now whether republicans know it or not.

The problem isn't with these things being in the healthcare bill, its with the ignorance and stupidity of those like Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh and those ignorant ones who blindly follow their mindless bantering. That is the problem with allowing those who obviously know nothing about healthcare to be the ones dictating how it should be addressed. The fact that those things are in the bill assures me that someone is somewhat familiar with end of life services and how important they are.

A lot of people have no idea what to do to make things easier when they die for them and their family. Part of that is counseling over what their options are including a living will, healthcare proxy, and hospice. Most people don't do these things until the last minute and why would they do it any sooner? No one expects to die or thinks about it until they have to, most of us are too busy living our lives to worry about it.

So, you want advice from a death panel? Continue listening to Miss Umbridge Palin and the Fat Ass Drug Addicted Limbaugh.who tell you not to trust your doctor. There is your real death panel.

Sunday Retro

I continue the Summer trend and this past week it finally got Hot, Hot, Hot! So, an appropriate tune for this week comes from one of my top 5 personal favorite bands of all time The Cure.

This is a live treat from 1987 of the song appropriately titled Hot, Hot, Hot. It was officially released on 1988's Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me. Robert Smith must have had a thing for repeating things three times back then.

Humble and Fred Fridays

Nothing says a Friday Morning like Humble and Fred. I have a lot of old Humble and Fred material that I have been surfing through and as I dig it up and get some tracks Ill share a clip (or two) on most Fridays not all.

Recently I have been slacking but this week I wanted to get back into it.

This clip is from around Christmas, one thing I didn't do was date the tapes I made, but its probably late 90's to early 2000's.

The end of this clip features one of my all time favorite endings to the Humble and Fred Show:

Congressman Higgins is on Board

Congressman Brian Higgins is already decided on his vote for healthcare reform and honestly he should be. He has decided to vote for a comprehensive healthcare reform bill (assuming hopefully it meets his standards and the standards that the majority who voted for him want).

Yesterday on Seneca Street featured this:

Higgins should support the majority in his district which does happen to be...DEMOCRAT! Democrats want healthcare reform. We are the ones who voted Mr. Higgins in. Maybe if republlcans/conservatives who go out there and demonstrate could come up with one reasonably talking point, one alternative to the ideas on healthcare reform that are out there right now other than the status quo, maybe it would be worth holding a town hall meeting.

I don't blame Higgins. He could probably see what was coming based on what is going on around the country with the fake out bursts from these coorporately organized disruptions at other democratically run town hall meetings.

I do think however, he should hold something, just have more security present and inform people at the door, if you scream out of turn you are being dismissed, no questions. Don't give them the satisfaction of being able to say that as the representative of our district that you refused to hear the other side, if you hold the town hall with your mind already made up (as it should be) and you go ahead and vote for it, then they have nothing to bitch about because you heard them out.

However, its got to be a civil, productive discussion and nothing of what these conservative lunatics have to discuss is productive, they are all empty points with no real solutions for a healthcare problem. Most conservatives don't think there is a problem and that to me is the real shame about them coming to the town halls and acting the way they do, acknowledge there is a problem.

The New Orleans Is Sinking Monologues

Like most Hip fans one of my early favorites that no Hip show is complete without is New Orleans is Sinking. Back during the Road Apples/Fully Completely tours Gord was doing a long rant in the middle of NOIS and it just so happens I have three of those rants, including the famous Killer Whale Tank off Roxy and Elsewhere, a rare live bootleg.

The other two versions were completely different rants but all involved a killer whale, Gord just played a different role in each of the monologues

I had trouble loading them to Imeem so I posted a picture of the band and did Youtube videos of them. Nothing fancy, the most important part is the different versions of the song

Buh Bye Alex Rios

Rios by you.

I have no problem with Alex Rios being dumped by the Jays on waivers, most Jays fans who visit my site will argue that and thats fine.

What I have the biggest problem with is the fact they got not a damn thing for him. A draft pick, some money, anything. Even a minor league re-tread, hell, give us your assistant GM so we can replace ours.

But they did let them go for nothing and I say okay. I take solace knowing that it probably spells the end for JP Riccardi as the Jays make plans to decrease payroll for the next GM.

Now, why stop there, try unloading Vernon Wells and Lyle Overbay. If we are going to clean up the offense lets do this right. Get rid of those two contracts and we not only have the money to re-sign Doc next year we also have enough to sign Albert Puljos who i believe is a free agent this offseason.

If the organization gives the new GM some increased spending power then you can go out and sign more offense because you really don't need pitching.

So, Jays fans, the rest of this season is going to suck, we were teased going into the end of May only to see the team nose dive through June and July. Be patient.

Who would we like to see as GM?

My pick? Cito

Who would we like to see as manager once Cito is GM?

My pick? Paul Molitor or Rance Mulliniks

Sabres Sign Grier, Again....

Mike Grier

Okay, so the unexpected always seems to happen....the Jays give Alex Rios away for nothing and the Sabres must have been paying attention to moves that make absolutely no sense and decided to have a crack at it and they did pretty good at first glance.

They signed Mike Grier, again, a guy who played with them from 2004-2006 and was on the first squad to make the long playoff run in 2006. He is 34, going on 35, and probably has more mileage on the legs than most players his age and hes coming off a knee injury that limited his playing time for San Jose last year.

Okay so the above doesn't paint a great picture and it shouldn't. What the hell is Darcy thinking? They should have re-signed Mike Grier in 2007 for four years. Damn straight.

But, the more I think about it, the more it makes sense in a sick and almost genius sort of way to have him back. What was the number one knock on the Sabres last year?

No toughness.

What was the next knock?

No leadership

Check and check. Grier gives you both in spades. He may have mileage but he will make up for it in the lockeroom and his grit and sandpaper on the ice. Yeah hes not exactly young but we have seen guys like Gary Roberts, Bill Guerin and the like contrbute to their teams late in the season when it counts the most.

Get Grier into the dance and thats where the intangibles he brings payoff. Remember, him and Drury were best buddies. This guy brings that kind of leadership to a team. So on the outside it looks like a Huh? type of move, think about it and it makes much more sense.

By my watch we have.......37 days till puck drops on first pre-season game.

War on Private Health Insurance

I checked out a new site today called Brave New Films, they just released a film called Sick For Profit which exposes the health insurance companies and their CEO's as being greedy, money hungry bastards.

The money that the CEO of United Healthcare, Stephen Hemsley makes for instance is just mind boggling. He has over 3/4 of a billion in stock options from the company and in 2009 so far has made $102,000 per hour.

Im sorry but there is no defending that. No one in any insurance company for profit or not should be earning that kind of money especially when you see the lives that UHC ruins by denying legitimate claims.

Its not just UHC either, there are others, go to the site and check out the full movie Sick For Profit.

Miss Summer? Go To The Arctic

 Earth

If this is what global warming is going to do to our small section of the globe then we better hurry up and find a way to start reversing the trend. Of course it may be too late to stop any long lasting effects.

If you miss summer check this out, kids are swimming in the Arctic Ocean this summer. Im assuming that has not happened often if ever. With temperatures reaching close to 90 in and around the Arctic Circle there has been record melting of ice through July and peak melt doesn't happen until September.

Meanwhile, here in WNY and Southern Ontario we have had abnormally cool temps and monsoonal time conditions. Time to move to the Arctic Circle to get some sun and warmth I guess.

Rios On Waivers? JP, The End Is Near

Rios

The Jays according to several sources except for the official Blue Jays website are indicating the Alex Rios has in fact been claimed on waivers.

What!!!! was my first reaction as I hear it on WGR 550 sports update, then I switched to The Fan 590 and got a little Toronto Sports talk perspective to settle me down and in fact Bob McGowan and the guys on The Fan were talking about the move.

The more I think about it, it makes sense. Short term the move sucks. There is no beating around that. They will have to replace Rios with a combination of kids and Jose Bautista. Not the optimal situation. But its short term.

Going into the offseason what is the Jays number one need? They have Marco Scutaro to resign which without Rios' money on the books they will probably sign him and they need bats, corner outfield and corner infield bats.

They don't need pitching. Saving Rios' and Scott Rolen's salary going into the offseason is a huge amount of money to reinvest considering that position players are not as costly as pitching. You can get corner ourfielders for a decent amount of money, you can get corner infielders for decent money.

They are up to their eyeballs in pitching so little has be spent there with the exception of Roy Halladay next year and Im not totally sold on him needing to be in Toronto long term especially if Brett Cecil and Ricky Romero continue to grow.

There is the very realistic possibility that the team may be cutting payroll short term only to allow a significantly higher payroll for the next GM.

That said, the waiving of Rios may mean that JP Riccardi's contract may be bought out a year early, which looking back...he didn't deserve this fate. A lot of things that should have gone right did not. There have been now 3 consecutive seasons in which injuries have plagued this franchise....my theory is they need a strength and conditioning coach/specialist to come in and do their work.

Ultimately JP's biggest failure was that the team has not stayed healthy which can hardly be blamed on him. He has had his moments, but he has made his mistakes as well. Reed Johnson being one of them that still doesn't sit well with Jays fans.

Something tells me that this is not the last move we will see, Lyle Overbay and Vernon Wells aren't exactly killing the ball and Well's defense is no where near what it has been in the past. Either one of them could go too as long as the fire sale is on. I think this could be Cito's team before too long.

Cito's teams were built up the middle of the diamond, solid catching, pitching, quality middle infielders and center field (Devo and Moseby). You build it up the middle its easy enough to find the outer pieces of a club.

Cito as GM? Any takers?

BTW after looking at Rios' numbers Im not as disappointed anymore:

He has hit a grand total of 3 home runs since July 1st and hitting for very little power with just a .413 slugging percentage. He should at least be pounding out doubles at Rogers Center and hes hardly doing that. He has just 6 doubles in that same time span giving him a grand total of 9 extra base hits since July 1st. That my friends is pretty pathetic for a corner outfielder.

Also, maybe it stems from this incident: Maybe he just didn't want to play in Toronto.

Teppo Calls It A Day

Teppo by you.

Teppo Numminen did the inevitable today, the 41 year old defenseman officially announced his retiremernt today from the NHL and the Buffalo Sabres.

I remember when the NHL lockout ended everyone predicted these big name free agents and the Sabres need to go after one of them and they came back with 37 year old Teppo. Everyone was kind of puzzled.

Well the Sabres front office had the last laugh, Teppo had two solid seasons with the Sabres from 05/06 to 06/07 and then had open heart surgery and missed the entire 07/08 season all except for one game. I thought it was over for him after that season but he came back one more year and was a shadow of his former self.

His time here in Buffalo was good though but its time for the Sabres to get younger and hopefully tougher. Teppo wasn't a kick your teeth in defenseman he was a finesse guy who played the angles and used his experience and you couldn't help but enjoy watching him during his first two years here during those playoff runs.

He finishes his time here in Buffalo with:

6 goals and 86 assists for 92 points. He was a plus 19 during that span as well.

For his career Teppo finishes with:

117 goals and 520 assists for 637 points as well as being a three time NHL All Star, He plaayed 20 seasons with the Winnipeg Jets/Phoenix Coyotes, Dallas Stars and the Buffalo Sabres.

Dare I say he could be a hall of famer?

Coorporate Disruption of Town Halls

I have been watching Rachel Maddow the last few nights and the more I watch her the more I like her. She is thorough with her pieces and doesn't talk down to her viewer, she explains the stories to the viewer and provides great background and detail so that you get the whole picture.

Yes she is liberal, but she is also about facts, something that can not be said of others in her position....Hannity...O'Reilly.

She covered a piece last night that is concerning, these so called grass roots anti-healhcare mobs that are out to ruin democratic townhall meetings. The townhall meetings are supposed to be constructive dialogue about healthcare not shouting matches and distruptive outbursts.

So let me get this straight, is this the best the repukes can do? IS THIS THE BEST THE CONSERVATIVES CAN DO? Seriously? Im sitting here uninsured because my family health insurance premium was too steep for me to afford and the repukes can do no better with this August recess than to send people to these meetings to shout and disrupt?

They could be meeting themselves and trying to come up with something constructive. Instead, they would rather try to piss on everyone and have us all sit in the same pile of crap healthcare system we have had.

Their mob mentality is no grassroots movement, its a carefully orchestrated plan by coorporate supporters of anti reform. Gressroots is from the bottom up, not the coorporate big whigs down.

New York State Strikes Again

raising taxes by you.

Just when you thought, okay, maybe the economy is turning around, things are looking slightly better, New York State gave us all a big swift kick in the ass.

Starting next year our DMV fees will be going up and the kicker was that all drivers in New York State will have to buy "new" license plates for $25. For most of us it will be double and triple that because most middle class households have two cars. New York State comes right out and says it too, they are doing it because of the fiscal crisis in the state.

I have an idea, how about our elected officials learn how to manage money. So, my idea is instead of us paying more for plates we don't need, we hold special elections and vote these money sucking retards out of office.

Registration fees are going up, license fees are going up, which are already the highest in the country. I would like one idiot in Albany whether its Governor Patterson himself or some supervisor in the DMV to stand up in front of a microphone and provide one good reason why we have to buy new license plates. Why do the residents of this state have to foot the bill?

First off plates are made in prisons for like 10 cents a piece so they are raping us to the tune of 250 times what they are worth to begin with.

Second, I never asked for new plates, were the drivers in this state yelling and screaming about new plates? I haven't heard that, im fine with the ones I have.

The fact is its a money grabbing scheme because this state is mismanaged more than any other state in this country besides maybe California. Its pathetic. They can grab a quick couple hundred million from the license plates and then the other fees will never go down so those represent a long term cash grab.

Well, I say the residents of this state call Albany on this move. When they send me my bill for the new plates Im not paying. What are they going to do pull every driver in New York State over? Take all our cars away? Don't pay it when you get it.

Seriously, at this point I think it would feel better if they sent someone to my house to kick the shit out of me and steal the $25 instead of telling us we for what ever reason need new plates. Give me a break, the voters of this state may not have much power, but we are not stupid.

When it comes time for new license plates next year...Dont pay it. What can they do if everyone refuses to pay for them?

Olbermann Exposes the Repukes and Blue Dogs

Kieth Olbermann last night laid a heavy hit onto members of the house and senate who are accepting money from insurance companies to put the lies out there to the public on healthcare reform. Its not just the repukes either.

I thought during the Bush years we were supposed to see campaign finance reform? I guess not. The reason why the people of this country are ignored is because our politicians are owned by coorporate America on both sides of the aisle.

That includes the healthcare companies who are spending upwards of $1.5 million a day to keep single payer and the public option off the table. Health insurance companies, nursing homes, durable medical equipment companies all lined up to line the pockets of our politicians to stop what will ultimately be a better option for the people of the country...The Public Option/Single Payer, ultimately what us middle class want in this country.

How much of that $1,5 million a day that is spent lobbying for lies could go back to treating people and providing direct care? How much of that could go back to lowering costs. How much of the lobbying money could go toward covering the 50 million who don't have insurance? This country needs to stop the lobbying by special interests and start listening to the people again.

Lobbyist don't care about the people, they care about the coorporations that pay them to go offer huge checks to our so called leaders.

Blogging

1,336. That was the number of visits to BBM last month. That and I can safely say I probably posted less blogs than in recent months due to a number of things but primarily due to work, getting ready to move and other life issues.

Maybe less is more. That is the highest number of visitors since March which saw 1,167 visitors. June's numbers by comparison: 952.

Viewers Say "N O" To T.O. Show

TO2 by you.

Hopefully the TO Show on the football field generates more ratings this year than the TO Show on VH1. The ratings for the TO Show had it placed 798th, tied with 5 AM airings of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

My guess is, that is ranked slightly higher than the Home and Garden Network and pre-paid advertisements. Which leads me to my question...Who watched the TO Show so far?

I can safely say I haven't seen a minute of it nor have I made plans to watch it. Im more interested in the TO Show on the football field and if the ratings are any indication....TO should stick to football.

Sunday Retro

Keeping up with the "summer" theme this week I found a nice live version of Paul Weller and the Style Council's "Long Hot Summer" something I think we will all still be craving by the end of this particular summer.

Paul Weller was formerly the lead singer for the legendary punk band The Jam.
