Its Official: Bills Still Suck

| | Comments (6)

bills by you.

After this loss you are going to have two groups of fans in Buffalo. You will have group A who are the ...lets just call them less than knowledgeable fans who will say oh well they only lost by a point they did okay they won't be so bad.

Then you will have group B who should be the bigger of the two groups who will say that this football team still sucks ass. Yes they hung in there against the New England Patriots and it has nothing to do with how close the score was. It has everything to do with how they lost.

I saw a soft defense and a dumb play that will haunt Leodis Mckelvin until the day the Bills finally beat the New England Patriots. The Patriots sliced through the Bills defense on the scoring drive that made it 24-19 like a warm knife through butter. The Bills defense bent and broke at a crucial point of the game and lets face it, it was bending all night. Eventually at the end of a game against the New England Patriots if you keep bending they will break you.

The play by Mckelvin was just awful, how do you even think of running that ball out of the end zone at that point? Just kneel and protect it, instead he tried to be the world beater and tried to go for the opposite end zone. The way he was running the ball on kick returns it will be a miracle if he makes it through the entire season with his head intact, he took some incredible shots and that stupid return wasn't the only time the ball was lost.

Good teams hold onto 11 point leads with 2 minutes left to play, bad teams find ways to lose 11 point leads. Good teams use their star players, bad teams can't seem to find their stars. Terrell Owens had two balls that he caught all game. Randy Moss had a 100 yard game.

I guess we shouldn't be surprised, they did what everyone expected them to do....they lost. Only the way they lost gives those who still care a lot of false hope.

The Bills are still bad. We saw this all of last year. Stupid plays to lose games late. The stupidity remains and so does the bad team. Get ready for a long season.

I hate watching teams that "find a way to lose". Running it out might not have been so bad - the clock being just before 2:00, the struggling against three or four Patriots upon contact was.
I also got to watch the Blue Jays lose late in their game last night as well.

Mike.. they had 11 pt. lead with 5:32 to go, not 2 minutes. Now they should not have lost that lead either, but don't exaggerate.

Pass defense was terrible, teams will just eat them up with 5-10 yard passes, then throw the dagger to the end zone if things don't change. Offense looked skittish, but they have the ability to make plays past 10y which will keep them in drives even if they look awful.

I thought Fred Jackson could have been better utlized on their last drive, even though they still scored the TD. Running would have eaten more clock too, and he was consistently getting 4-5 yards.

McKelvin made a bone-headed play, wasn't the first, won't be the last. If he holds onto the ball and the Bills win the game, then who's calling them an awful team? No one. Then instead of douche-bags like Schopp and Bulldog whining about them, they'd be singing praises like they knew all along the Bills have it in them this year. Then all the moron fans around here wouldn't be calling for Jauron's head.

I tell you.. the team doesn't suck, they're middle of the road somewhere between 6 and 8 wins. You know who sucks? The fans around here. So F'ing negative. They turn on a dime, it's their own fault they give themselves heart attacks over a football season. It's still just a game at the end of the day, and the team tries to win. It's not like they're out there saying "Gee how can we top last week's loss on the heart-wrench scale?"

Rob, The Patriots scored the first touchdown with a little over two minutes to go. Leodis caught the kickoff with a little over two minues on the clock. check the box score. The Pat started the TD drive with 5 minutes left yes, but the Bills for all intensive purposes had an 11 point lead until about the two minute mark.

Answer me this, does 6-8 wins make the playoffs? Then they suck.

Geez.. well get all fucking technical. The Pats got the ball back with 5:32 to go. In fottblall that means they are in the act of completing their next score. And for Christ sake the phrase is "for all intents and purposes"! Grrr.

6-8 wins, no that won't make the playoffs. I would hardly classify an 8-8 team that misses the playoff as being a team that "sucks". "Sucks" is the Raiders, the Lions, the Chiefs, any other team that finished 5-11 or worse.

In a non-football context, for example, the Blue Jays "suck".

6-8 wins sucks if you havent made the playoffs in 10 years.
And yes I will agree with you The Blue Jays Suck and I have already identified that in their 10 alltime worst seasons I posted on earlier as 2009 being their suckiest season.

Anyone who dosent agree with probley have not read this whole blog through and thats truely ashame.
