Get rid of the pity point!!! I hate the pity point, especially when it happens to the Sabres. It provides teams with a silver lining to losing. It says: "We lost, but we still got a point".When you lose there are no 'buts". They lost last night plain and simple, last nights loss will just go in a different column which I choose to ignore and just add it into the real loss column.

Instead of the pity point here is a great idea, overtime should consist of:

10 minutes of 4 on 4

5 minutes of 3 on 3

and if you lose you lose, zero points. Winner gets 2. Yes, Im also suggesting that they can the shootout.

On the upside, Ryan Miller looked much better than the other night and Paul Gaustad was probably the best player on the ice.....just one request though, Can we please find a center who can win a face off late in the game?
