Well it passed the House, now it needs to pass Harry Reid, Max Baucus and Joe "The Traitor" Lieberman. Lets see if these three yellow bellied so called democrat senators have any backbone what-so-ever.

Harry Reid first off because if for any other reason he is the House Majority Leader. He has to step up and get the democrats in the senate in line and say look, this is our bill coming out of the house, get behind this, then we back up the president.

Max Baucus was the one guy in the senate that Obama turned to to get this thing done and he did everything but support what Obama's base called for. Its time to put his lobbyist money down and put his vote in the peoples corner.

If Joe Lieberman doesn't support this when its all said and done then Obama, Reid and the other democrat leaders in the Senate need to kick his ass to the curb and tell him to go join up with the repukes.

Is this bill single payer? no. Is it perfect and does it resemble what democrats and independents who wanted healthcare reform last year at election time voted for? not exactly, but it does:

1. Include a public option

2. eliminates pre-existing conditions and cutting people because they are sick

3. includes mandates that the insurance companies must spend at least 90% of premium dollars on patient care/healthcare costs (thats up from 70% in some cases)

Its a start and its way more than anyone in the last 60 years has been able to get done. If this works and it does what it is supposed to do it could be a bridge toward single payor or at the very least will open some peoples eyes up and see that Barack Obama and the democrats are not full of crap.

If the senate doesn't pass this, well then heads need to roll starting with Reid, Baucus and Lieberman.
