I have been not keeping up with Sunday Retro lately and it will get better. This week I figured I would go with some Joe Strummer and the Clash. On December 22nd, 2002 an icon was lost way too early. He was in the midst of a resurgence with his new band the Mescaleros and there were rumblings of a Clash reunion...that didn't happen. Joe Strummer left us at the age of 50. Way too young.

He was my John Lennon, my Elvis Presley, My Kurt Cobain. Joe Strummer was that influential as he led as the great Martin Streek, who passed away this year, used to say the Greatest Band of All Time, The Clash:
