Giving You More Than Just My Two Cents
The New Wheels
So, Thursday I went to Midas, I have been going there for inspections for the fact that I had their lifetime brakes. My 2001 Toyota Corolla had 136,555 miles on it and it needed a new oxygen sensor and catalitic converter totally $763 or so in repairs to pass inspection. Honestly, the car probably was not worth putting the money into it.
I wanted to. I loved the fact that I didn't have a whisper of a car payment going on three years and counting. I loved the fact that I had a 9 year old car that still had some life in it. But the fact was that at 136K+ it was time. Time to trade in and get something safer, that runs better and would also last another 8-10 years.
So I went to Steve Baldo Ford and they offered me a Ford Focus, a 2007 Focus that was green with $1000 for my trade in at about $250 per month.....not wanting to buy at my first stop I moved on.
I made a stop at Fucillo Toyota where I told them exactly what I was looking for. Economical, reliable, with low miles on it. They pointed me to a Nissan Versa. Not wanting to give them a decision I continued yesterday and not wanting to be driving for more than a day or two without a current inspection sticker I stopped at Northtown Toyota whose salesman seemed less than interested and Northtown Kia whose salesman spent some time but again seemed unable to get me into something I wanted.
I went back to Fucillo, not having a car payment in three years I wanted something with a low payment as well. I got it, I was willing to lay $1000 down on top of my trade in and I got this 2008 Nissan Versa with 21K on it for $9100 and $188 per month payments. Not too shabby. Its a little roomier than the Corolla as well.

I love my Versa....Great car.
