Buffalo Boy's Blog
Giving You More Than Just My Two Cents
Catching Up
Im going to hit on a few things here because quite frankly, I am on a computer ALL FRIGGIN DAY at work and haven't had a chance to get on much for fun things like updating Buffalo Boy, so here goes:
1. I am putting it out there right now, unless we make a move, the Sabres don't make the playoffs. Unless the real cause of this disastrous last 10 games or so is the result of a tired hockey team Darcy our esteemed GM needs to sacrifice a sacred draft pick or prospect and get a bonafide NHLER. It doesn't have to be a top 6 offensive weapon, it has to be however a 3rd line guy so that TIm Kennedy can go back to Portland because to be honest the kid needs some more seasoning.
He used his energy and enthusiasm for the first 40 games or so and then after that wore off he has just looked like a kid who hasn't played this much hockey.....ever. Mark Recchi would be a nice pick up if we could pry him away from the Boston Bruins. Good leadership in the lockerroom and who cares if he stays beyond this year. Heck Id be willing to see if we could get him for Tim Kennedy. Matt Cullen would also work.
Shopping list for trade deadline: legitimate 3rd liner that can make 3rd line into a responsible and balanced line, not a collection of ragtag crap, a legitimate 5th or 6th defenseman, a back up goalie other than Lalime.
2. Its GLOBAL WARMING/CLIMATE CHANGE NOT LOCAL WARMING AND WEATHER!!!.
The next idiot that says that global warming is a hoax or that Al Gore's theory is shot Im going to shove them face first into a snow bank.
First thing's first, its not Al Gore's theory, its science going back as far as the 1950's this has been studied and the science all agrees unless the repukes make it political and find one whack job that they pay to say its a hoax.
Look. Global warming is global, its not regional or local, Washington, Philadelphia and New York City are not representative of the whole world and on a global scale they are insignificant, sorry. Take a look where the Winter Olympics are being held, I saw yesterday they are having a problem the east coast would love to have, a lack of snow.
Yes, Vancouver has no snow, yet somehow they have to host sking and all these outdoor sports that require snow. The real areas of the glob that need to be looked at are the poles. Those are the real trouble spots that are seeing the greatest warming.
As far as the two storms guess what, its February, its supposed to snow and be cold on the east coast and the fact is when you are dealing with warming, you have warmer air coming in from warmer waters in the pacific and it hits cold air and it dumps the moisture from the warm air as snow. Big surprise. Its weather and it happens. Climate however is weather on a large scale over an extremely long period of time.
With that said, 2009 was the second warmest year on record over the last 2000 years. So, stop being ignorant Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Palin and trust in the scientists who the vast majority are in agreement that global warming/climate change is real.
3. Gov. Patterson is about to strike again, my least favorite democrat wants to put cameras on the thruway to catch speeders to make the state more money....once again we as NY State residents get punished for the inability to run a state.
Since cameras will be doing State Trooper's jobs how about you lay off say 25% of the state police since they won't have to sit in their cars on various U-Turns hidden from drivers views waiting to pounce on speeders anymore.
That ought to save a ton of money.

Terrific Article on Obama ! ! !
Article from the Wall Street Journal Form by Eddie Sessions:
"I have this theory about Barack Obama. I think he's led a kind of
make-believe life in which money was provided and doors were opened because
at some point early on somebody or some group took a look at this tall, good
looking, half-white, half-black, young man with an exotic African/Muslim
name and concluded he could be guided toward a life in politics where his
facile speaking skills could even put him in the White House.
In a very real way, he has been a young man in a very big hurry. Who else do
you know has written two memoirs before the age of 45? "Dreams of My Father"
was published in 1995 when he was only 34 years old. The "Audacity of Hope"
followed in 2006. If, indeed, he did write them himself. There are some who
think that his mentor and friend, Bill Ayers, a man who calls himself a
"communist with a small 'c'" was the real author.
His political skills consisted of rarely voting on anything that might be
deemed controversial.. He went from a legislator in the Illinois legislature
to the Senator from that state because he had the good fortune of having
Mayor Daley's formidable political machine at his disposal.
He was in the U.S.. Senate so briefly that his bid for the presidency was
either an act of astonishing self-confidence or part of some greater game
plan that had been determined before he first stepped foot in the Capital.
How, many must wonder, was he selected to be a 2004 keynote speaker at the
Democrat convention that nominated John Kerry when virtually no one had ever
even heard of him before?
He outmaneuvered Hillary Clinton in primaries. He took Iowa by storm. A
charming young man, an anomaly in the state with a very small black
population, he oozed "cool" in a place where agriculture was the antithesis
of cool. He dazzled the locals. And he had an army of volunteers drawn to a
charisma that hid any real substance.
And then he had the great good fortune of having the Republicans select one
of the most inept candidates for the presidency since Bob Dole. And then
John McCain did something crazy. He picked Sarah Palin, an unknown female
governor from the very distant state of Alaska . It was a ticket that was
reminiscent of 1984's Walter Mondale and Geraldine Ferraro and they went
down to defeat.
The mainstream political media fell in love with him. It was a schoolgirl
crush with febrile commentators like Chris Mathews swooning then and now
over the man. The venom directed against McCain and, in particular, Palin,
was extraordinary.
Now, nearly a full year into his first term, all of those gilded years
leading up to the White House have left him unprepared to be President. Left
to his own instincts, he has a talent for saying the wrong thing at the
wrong time. It swiftly became a joke that he could not deliver even the
briefest of statements without the ever-present Tele-Prompters.
Far worse, however, is his capacity to want to "wish away" some terrible
realities, not the least of which is the Islamist intention to destroy
America and enslave the West. Any student of history knows how swiftly Islam
initially spread. It knocked on the doors of Europe , having gained a
foothold in Spain ..
The great crowds that greeted him at home or on his campaign "world tour"
were no substitute for having even the slightest grasp of history and the
reality of a world filled with really bad people with really bad intentions.
Oddly and perhaps even inevitably, his political experience, a cakewalk, has
positioned him to destroy the Democrat Party's hold on power in Congress
because in the end it was never about the Party. It was always about his
communist ideology, learned at an early age from family, mentors, college
professors, and extreme leftist friends and colleagues.
Obama is a man who could deliver a snap judgment about a Boston police
officer who arrested an "obstreperous" Harvard professor-friend, but would
warn Americans against "jumping to conclusions" about a mass murderer at
Fort Hood who shouted "Allahu Akbar." The absurdity of that was lost on no
one. He has since compounded this by calling the Christmas bomber "an
isolated extremist" only to have to admit a day or two later that he was
part of an al Qaeda plot.
He is a man who could strive to close down our detention facility at
Guantanamo even though those released were known to have returned to the
battlefield against America .. He could even instruct his Attorney General to
afford the perpetrator of 9/11 a civil trial when no one else would ever
even consider such an obscenity. And he is a man who could wait three days
before having anything to say about the perpetrator of yet another terrorist
attack on Americans and then have to elaborate on his remarks the following
day because his first statement was so lame.
The pattern repeats itself. He either blames any problem on the Bush
administration or he naively seeks to wish away the truth.
Knock, knock. Anyone home? Anyone there? Barack Obama exists only as the
sock puppet of his handlers, of the people who have maneuvered and
manufactured this pathetic individual's life.
When anyone else would quickly and easily produce a birth certificate, this
man has spent over a million dollars to deny access to his. Most other
documents, the paper trail we all leave in our wake, have been sequestered
from review. He has lived a make-believe life whose true facts remain
hidden.
We laugh at the ventriloquist's dummy, but what do you do when the dummy is
President of the United States of America ?

Barack Obama, are you paying attention? The American people ranked the global warming hoax dead last on its list of concerns, even below "Trade Policy" and "Moral Decline".
In a Pew Research study (dated January 25, 2010) only 28% of American's believed that global warming should even be a budget priority. That is 10% points lower than what it was just 4 years ago, and this was before some of the recent fraud and corruption allegations against certain climate change scientists and the scandals at the U.N.
Contrary to media reports Antarctic sea ice continues to expand. Ice totals for November 2009 are significantly higher than 1979 when measurements began. The main stream media concentrates on a couple of small areas of the Antarctic in order to scare you in to believing that Antarctica is melting, when in fact its gaining ice.

Global warming under the Democratically controlled House of Representatives will add more bureaucratic boondoggles to the government payroll and give billions to the United Nations to squander while the taxpayers will foot the bill. As Yvo deBoer, the United Nations top climate official, stated: “Time is up. Over the next two weeks governments have to deliver.” To whom, the U.N? Billions of dollars are needed almost immediately and hundreds of billions of dollars annually within a decade.
If the Kyoto Protocol laid no obligations on countries such as India and China plus developing third world countries, what is the use of wasting billions while they continue to release emissions of carbon dioxide by the billion of tons annually into the atmosphere? This whole hoax is to create more bureaucracy in the world. They revealed the true objectives of their agenda in the book written by G. Edward Griffin, “The Creature from Jekyll Island.”
Al Gore’s global warming presentations remind me of Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s creation of unfettered departments such as FCC, FDIC, FHA, MLB, NYA, WPA, SSB, TVA, and now over 80 other unnecessary bureaucratic departments. All did little to overcome the depression but did give the Democrats more patronage jobs.
Now it’s President Barack Obama’s objective to overcome a so-called recession by creating jobs. These agencies Obama and Gore want to create to fight global warming will not only become an integral part of the government, but another strong-arm wing of a society moving rapidly towards socialistic thought and action implemented by his czar’s.
Agencies such as the EEOC, FDA, EPA, OSHA, AFT, DEA and many more were added. The worst agency ever imposed on the American public was the United Nations by Democratic presidents Roosevelt and Truman. It has cost the American taxpayers billions of dollars and cost many American lives and terrorism still prevails due to the incompetence of the U.N. They are now so powerful in terms of intrusion into our daily lives that, in too many cases, they have made Russia’s KGB pale in comparison.
America is under siege in four major areas: Attacks on our basic human rights by the politically correct in government and the courts, by a political party that continually aids and abets the enemy, by the communications media that only presents highly selective news coverage, and, finally, a radical Muslim terrorist network that confronts us with a methodology of conflict which we are not prepared to combat.
America is plagued with inept leadership in these bureaucratic agencies, and become prey to the acceptance of junk science, and mediocre research. They are shredding our Constitution and Bill of Rights and curtail what we hold dear, our freedom.
These agencies, along with elected officials such as U.S. Rep. Joseph Sestak, D-7, of Edgmont, and hundreds of others seeking federal money to spend our tax dollars on, have subjected us to such unscientific calamities as global warming, the ice age, mercury emissions, Earth Day, the DDT fiasco, carbon dioxide emissions, ozone depletion, tree thinning and the asbestos scare.
I will now present scientific fact to refute their false claims that global warming will have us under 20 feet of water in the near future.
Everyone knows there is melting polar ice — there has been for centuries. They claim greenhouse emissions could be committing the world to a catastrophic sea-level rise.
There are two ice sheets, Greenland and Antarctic. It’s not melting sea ice that causes sea levels to rise, but when land sheets melt. As climate scientist Patrick J. Michael’s states: “What has happened is that Antarctica has been gaining ice.” Only one tiny portion of the continent —- the Antarctic Peninsula — has been warming and the ice melting and the peninsula only constitutes about 2 percent of the Antarctica’s total area. This is the area people like Sestak, Gore and the ICLEI (International Council of Local Environmental Initiatives) concentrate on and try to alarm the public.
Curt Davis, using satellite measurements to calculate changes in the ice sheets elevation, found it gained 45 billion tons of ice per year between 1992 and 2003, which is enough to lower sea levels by about 0.12 millimeters annually. Today’s alarmists only look at what’s falling off the sides and not what’s building up top.
As they claim, if today’s temperatures are causing Greenland’s coastal ice to slide into the sea, it must have been 10 times worse 80 years ago. Between 1915 and 1965 it was even warmer. All this was before fossil fuel burning could have triggered global warming.
There is no scientific evidence that the Greenland ice sheet is melting due to increased temperatures caused by atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide.
Richard Lindzen of MIT thinks that, while most scientists were originally agnostic on the question whether human activity was causing global warming “environmentalists and the media would exaggerate,” (and) build up the public concern. Politicians responded by throwing research dollars at scientists. You’ve developed a scientific community that will do whatever it needs to do to make sure the answer isn’t obtained. Why should taxpayers pay for people not to find an answer?”
Finally, the Kyoto Protocol would cost the American taxpayers some $300 to $400 billion and wouldn’t stop whatever warming is caused by greenhouse-gas emissions. In fact, Tom Wigley of the National Center for Atmosphere Research calculated that the full global implementation of Kyoto would only prevent 0.07 degrees Celsius of global warming by 2050, which is all but undetectable.
We do not need to throw billions of our money on solutions that won’t work. No one is absolutely sure a problem exists regarding global warming generally or whether we’re the ones causing the problem. Let’s keep with the facts instead of scare tactics to create more bureaucratic agencies, which waste taxpayers’ money.
Hailed by everyone, including energy star and Al Gore as the next best thing, the new CFLs come with hidden dangers.
In the past several months, environmentally conscious consumers have been hit with a one-two punch, leaving them breathless and needing more information regarding the new Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs (CFLs).
1. A Prospect Maine Housewife reports unacceptable mercury levels in her home after replacing all of her incandescent bulbs with CFLs!
2. Philips corporation announces their intention to cease distribution of incandescent bulbs to the US and European nations by 2016.
On the outside, it looks like consumers are once again put between a rock and a hard place; until we look at all of the facts:
The dark-side of CFLs: CFLs contain approximately 4mg - 5 mg of mercury per bulb. Mercury can cause many problems when inhaled, and can affect our brains, spinal cords, kidneys and livers.

Mr. Gore is poised to become the world’s first “carbon billionaire,” profiteering from government policies he supports that would direct billions of dollars to the business ventures he has invested in.
Pluto is warming up. Yeah, that's because of the blizzards here in Washington, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York. According to noted global warming scientists here in America and at the IPCC. These massive snowstorms are not only causing global warming and are an indication of it here, but they're having a dramatic impact on the surface temperatures of what was a planet (no longer is) Pluto. It's getting bright red out there. I mean, we humans, if you think we're destroying just the Earth you are wrong. We are destroying our solar system. It's all because of you. Your SUVs, your smokestacks, and all the rest of this gunk and garbage that you're putting into the atmosphere. You think it just stays here? You seen Mars lately? You seen the storms on Jupiter? They found another eye up there! Saturn?
The Rush Limbaugh Show is the most listened to radio talk show in America, broadcast on over 600 radio stations nationwide. It is hosted by America's Anchorman, Rush Limbaugh, also known as: America's Truth Detector; the Doctor of Democracy; the Most Dangerous Man in America; the All-Knowing, All-Sensing, All-Everything Maha Rushie; defender of motherhood, protector of fatherhood and an all-around good guy.
There is a "consensus" among the American people, who have made this the most listened to program, that it is also the most accurate, most right, and most correct.
People who disagree with this are Rush Deniers.
You can call The Rush Limbaugh Show program line
between 12 Noon and 3PM Eastern Time at: 1-800-282-2882
So lets see, just because he broadcasts to 600 radio stations and is "the most listened to talk radio show" means I should take everything the gas bag says as truth? That is going against every thing he preaches, telling people not to listen to the mass media....you are tellingme that he is mass media and that everything he says is true...that is not the case and you know it.
I dare you to tune into Ed Schultz or Randi Rhodes for 15 minutes and hear the difference.
On Rush's retarded show they screen callers so everyone agrees wtih him, on Ed Schultz's show they take all callers and they have a discussion about real politics and solutions.
I ran across your site running a completely different search and yet found your information and facts concerning this subject to be quite interesting. I was searching for How do get a book published, and found your website.

Great post!
I can claim, that in all the time I've spent using the net, studying blogs , forums, I’ve never read one as short and snappy and well crafted as this one, I don't normally comment on weblogs nevertheless for yourself I felt the need to make an exception, it is truthfully excellent quality work and altogether opposite to the drivel, that i spend the majority of my time online, reading. Thanks a lot with regard to finding the time and investing your energy to supply your readers with a 1st class commentary. I anticipate reading so much more of your work, once more cheers. Debs
This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
