JUST SIGN THE DAMN CONTRACT!

This is why I am becoming less and less interested in pro sports. Tomorrow, Lebron James will waste 59 minutes of everyones life for what should take him one minute to do, sign himself an NBA contract that will make him more money than most of us will see in a lifetime.

Sure, the proceeds are going to charity for what ever this spectacle makes but if this is where its going with star athletes signing with teams what is next? Charging admission at the arena of the team signing him for everyone who gives a shit to come watch him live sign his name?

Give me a break. The money should be enough, get it over with and stop wasting an hour of what could be a Thursday night baseball game on ESPN. I fault the media for hyping it up to the point that they agreed to do this crap.

How full of himself is he that he feels he is head and shoulders above any other NBA star, past, present or future that he deseves an hour of primetime to sign his name. If he is doing this, I honestly hope he at least does the honorable thing, show some loyalty and stay with Cleveland. Show you are different and sign with the team that gave you your shot in the NBA.

As far as the primetime crap, its just that, crap. I feel sorry for the desparate fans who tune in to watch this piece of garbage sign his name to an ungodly amount of money. I get the news conference after doing it, I understand that, but I don't get the whole him using an hour to make his decision, which he has probably already made but like all ego maniacs, he'll milk for the entire hour.

Hi, interesting article. Well I've finally processed this entre ridiculous Lebron James "Decision" catastrophe. What a moron! 1st, he pretends his elbow is hurt and quits in the playoffs so that nobody is surprised when he's done. Next, they make a total media circus out of everything to the point of annoying the entire country. Then this fool gets on TV in front of the entire country to stab his hometown in the back, all while ticking off all other big cities except Miami, so that he can try to win on someone else's team! Talk about horrible marketing! Anyhow... slick site - I'm subscribed to your feed now so I'll be checking in regularly!

Thanks for taking the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more information? It is extremely helpful for me.

First of all - I hope it does cause MLB some major angst. Their role in all of this is significant. Selig should be forced to step down. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE knew what was going on. And rather than confront it Selig and his merry band of synchophants decided to ignore it. Ignore it as Bonds heads swelled to gargantuan proportions. Clemons is a major league tool and frankly deserves what he's about to get......:-)

I'm not a baseball fan, but this whole episode stinks to the high heavens. WHY in God's name is congress (A group of liars if there ever was one) WASTING their valuable time on a baseball player who allegedly lied about taking drugs that may even kill him someday. The country is in the grip of a horrible mess caused by the inattention of politicians for the last 30 years. That boil is getting ready to burst, and here we have Congress trying to "look busy". It's really disgusting. It's impossible for Congress to hold anyone in contempt, because that is the feeling that the entire country has -against THEM!.....:-)
