Mitch Mcconnell: No Ideas

Ditch Mitch

The Senate Minority Leader Mitch Mcconnell is not only a pasty, shade of white, he also has no ideas currently for his party. He is essentially the highest ranking republican in politics and when asked what his agenda was in the above NPR article was essentially that he doesn't have any.

He said he would let us know in September.

Thats just great. What is the big secret? About 90 days from now is the mid-term election and Mitch Mcconnell thinks its okay to leave the American people in the dark. You have had since Barack Obama and the democratic party took control of both houses to come up with something solid for your party to run on and support as an agenda and you can't speak a word of it?

Instead your party continues to say "no" to everything the democrats do. Say what you want, but at least the democrats have a well thought out plan. Maybe its not what you agree with if you are a republican but after the last year or so is it really that bad?

Think about that: The Obama administration has passed healthcare...something Bush promised against Gore and Kerry, the repukes didn't deliver anything except a prescription drug plan that is killing seniors financially and cost this country billions to the drug companies and they gave us Medicare "Advantage".

The Obama Administration has passed Wallstreet and credit card reform, the closed Gitmo, they passed stimulus plans that were not enough because of repuke opposition but got something through. And Obama is ending the war in Iraq, granted there is the mess in Afghanistan but thats for a different post.

Plus, the Obama administration is dealing with all the de-regulation that went on under the Bush administration that included de-regulating safety in the oil industry and as a result we have the BP spill.

Everything out of the mouths of republicans, including Mcconnell's, has been about stopping this Barack Obama. Not one thing have they said has been anything constructive.

The president was elected as the leader of this country. He is the boss. Generally when most of us go into work we don't go in to say no to our boss. Even if we disagree we try to work with our boss otherwise we get fired.

Well, here is an idea, the American People in 2008 were the boss and elected Barack Obama to be The Boss for us. The republicans have gone to work saying no to their boss with no intentions of working with their boss....Barack Obama and the majority of us who voted for him. Their platform of no and no ideas have run their course.

I have to ask though, what has the republican agenda been if Mitch Mcconnell has nothing to say about? Its becoming clear that their only agenda has been attempting to get this president to fail. Thats what the republicans want because in the end they want the middle class to fail, thats the republicans plan. It has been since Reagan took office 30 years ago.

Hopefully this fall the American people will see right through Mcconnell and the rest of this party of "No Ideas", employees who don't work with their boss should be fired. Mcconnell and his republican followers need to go.
