Fix The Jays- Get a CLOSER

Jays

We don't need much to fix this team. Overall the starting pitching is good, the offense is more than sufficient...but when you look at the pen, 20 blown saves. The two that get the majority of the opportunities Frank Francisco and John Rausch are 11/16 and 11/15 respectively. That sucks.

If AA has one mission this offseason its to go out and sign or trade for the best available closer on the market. Enough with patch work bullpens, this team hasn't had a good closer since BJ Ryan and before that it was probably Duane Ward/Henke days. Hell right now who wouldn't settle for Kevin Gregg back, was he perfect no, but he was consistent and he certainly didn't blow over 30% of his opportunities.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Jesse Litsch take a stab at the role next spring, but that doesn't mean you don't go out and try to get a stud in this organization. That might, right now be the biggest piece to get this team over the hump.

If you win say 10 of those 20 even that you have leads in late in games maybe you are within shouting distance of just the wildcard.

Get a closer and fix the Jays.

Can't Hold Back Anymore.....

Eric_Cantor_Mister_NO

Eric Cantor, house majority leader is fucking insane. There is no other way to describe this bastard. His Virginia district has suffered damages caused by both the recent earthquake and by hurricane Irene and he comes out yet again and wants to match cuts to disaster relief money. He is a heartless bastard plain and simple.

I say again because he came out after the massive tornado outbreak and stated the same damn thing. What is his district thinking? After 5 months of deliberating between congress and the senate on cuts for the recent debt debate how would the cuts debate go for disaster relief? If victims were lucky they would get done arguing about cuts-relief money sometime after Christmas and by then people displaced by this thing would be up shits creek.

Eric Cantor, have a fucking heart. You represent people in your district who need help, Homeowners insurance on the east coast of this country probably doesn't include earthquake coverage like many out west have because we get a damage causing earthquake once every maybe 100 years? I don't have the statistics on it that but I am going to guess it hasn't been in our lifetimes. The same goes for people in Vermont and upstate New York, they probably don't have flood insurance....Thats where FEMA comes in, for the damage that homeowners insurance won't cover. Why is this a bad thing? Why does every dollar need to be accounted for when it comes to the wellness and safety of our citizens after a disaster?

Cantor's comments suggest that people should have been saving for hurricane Irene. like people save every day for their homes and businesses to be totally destroyed in a weather related incident. Remember the October surprise storm from a few years ago? How many who lived through that carnage were prepared for that chaos? No one predicted that and no one saved for that storm. Yet we needed help and relief that can't come out of homeowners insurance, that can't come from people wallets.

I would love to go hang out in Cantor's district for a week and just interview random people, after the comments he made about the disaster relief, it shows where this bastards heart is, the almight dollar. I say if he wants cuts we start with his salary and then why don't we work our way to the Pentagon for the rest. Bring back the troops in Iraq and end one of these wars and let the troops help our people for a change. The fact is those aren't the cuts he is talking about. He is talking about more cuts to the poor and middle class, cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, people who are already hurting from the hurricane, get hurt even more.

Eric Cantor, your day is coming, my prediction is in 2012, his district is going to vote this scum sucking pig out of office,, mark my words.

Broken Government

I haven't written much about our political situation on here in a while because well, there has been too much shit going on in our political landscape, as soon as I got ready to comment on something, something else even crazier comes up. Most of the crazy shit is republican based and this debt deal is no different.

But lets face it, its both parties. The democrats led by Mr. Barack "Bend Over" Obama who has yet to truly stand up for the middle class and working poor of this country. While the repukes do nothing but try to stop our president officilally now I am saying it, the repukes are racially motivated and they truly do want to see government fail.

If the repukes want to see government fail so much then why run for political office? Why become part of the problem? Why accept a salary while you serve that oh btw makes government bigger. Thats a point for another day.

The point is, this debt deal is more than likely going to end ugly, it forms essentially a third branch of government that makes more cuts unequivocally....without any input from the most important part of this whole process....THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!! You know the 90% of us who are not independently filthy rich? Who will all be most affected by the cuts you make. You know those of us living pay check to pay check.

Where does the American middle class/working poor citizen get their voice heard? If we did, it would clearly show that we don't want medicare, social security or medicaid porgrams touched. Yet the legislators that we voted in don't listen to a damn word from average middle class America. Who do they listen to? Lobbyists, paid for by big, rich coorporate and wealthy donors. Its sickening.

What do you think? I want to hear from people out there, my Canadian readers included....Keith Olbermann unleashed tonight, Agree with him, disagree? He is on Current TV, he gets a little more freedom than the mainstream media to let loose on both parties, I thought he lit up both sides, goverment is broken:I promise I will write more in the coming weeks, its been a busy summer work wise, I have a lot to say and after this horrendous debt deal its time for this blog to start contributing to the collective voices of the extremely pissed off.
