Bits and Pieces
Okay, I am not going to brag, but, my Cleveland Browns beat the Bills last night. I felt bad for Bills fans I really did. They are my second favorite team by location and really, haven't they had enouhg wide right? Not quite, one more was fine as long as it was against Cleveland. Stay strong Bill's peoples, things will turn around. If they can't beat Kansas City next week, then you have a problem.
Since when did it get so friggin COLD!!!!!!! I want the 60's back!
The next few days may be a little light, I am finishing my student teaching for my masters degree in special education so if you don't see much feel free to post in the comments of this post and let me know what you are all up to, if you have any pressing news. Thats not to say I won't be posting at all but the bloggage will be light probably until the weekend.
See ya in a few days!

October Bloggage
Last month was my second best month as far as vistors to this site. I had 2,162 visitors and 1000 of them were new visitors to the site. A big part of that was the political commentary that I have done and though we don't all agree, its fun to have the debate and allows all to vent.
I'm also starting to post more on the Bills and as usual, I post on every Sabres game. Mandatory Music Mondays are going well and Sunday Retro seems to be a keeper. The politics will continue to be a major source of content as well as I continue to shed light on the Obama transition to the White House and calm the illegitimate fears of you right wingers out there. Hopefully everyone is enjoying the posts!

Happy Birthday Buffaloboymike.com
Today is the one year anniversary of the start of this site. I didn't know how I would do it when I started but now that Im a year into it it has been an absolute blast. Here is the first entry onto Buffalo Boy Mike from one year ago today:
I would like to thank Mr. Mike Boon for setting me up! I am new to this but have been inspired by the likes of Freddie P,, Humble Howard and Mike Boon himself and figured "Hey a little friendly competition from Buffalo would be nice". That and I always have a lot to say. A little about me, Im 34, from Buffalo obviously and i am very busy and have added this little piece to my busy-ness. I have lots of Canadian influences for regular Canadian readers of Mr. Boon's, Freddie's or Howard's blogs will see. I am a Blue Jay fan, a Sabres fan 1st and a Leaf fan distant second (don't ask how that works out but it goes back to when the Leafs were in the other conference. So you will often see me post about hockey/baseball. Im a huge music fan. I grew up on CFNY so I am actually a bit of a music snob. Im a physical therapist full time, swim coach part time and graduate special education student (so you can see where the busy parts come in. I will write about those from time to time. I have become increasingly political over the years so you will see a lot of political posts. Finally, Im new at this so if you see anything on here that you like and would like it to become a regular thing or have suggestions let me know. In the meantime, I hope everyone stops by and spends some time reading a little on here and don't be afraid to leave your comments. Talk to you all soon
Buffalo Boy Mike
Ive learned a ton about the bloggage thing since I started and the more I learn the more fun it gets!
Bloggage and Stuff
August was a decent month. 1072 visits to Buffalo Boy Mike. My busiest day was this past week with 120 visitors. My best month was still June with close to 2500 visits to the site.
Tomorrow I will present my 2008 Fantasy Football teams and I will also preview the Fantasy Baseball playoffs. I personally don't think Im going to get beat. I have dominated my fantasy baseball league all year.
I will also announce at some point my fantasy hockey league which I will be registering for shortly and I will open that one up to readers of the blog if they would like to sign up for my fantasy hockey league.
September I will also be doing my NHL predictions and Sabres previews and this week I will be doing my football predictions.
Also, I will be starting to preview the issues on the presidential election. Retro sundays, I still have to pick a day to do a tune from my I-tunes during the week. I think it will be Mondays. Mandatory Music Mondays we shall call it. That sounds good.
If there is anything you particularly like or dislike about the site, this is the post to leave your comments.
Oh, in case you didn't notice yet, I have added a few links in the sidebar, make sure you check them out! Happy Labor Day!

Tidbits
This week my wife is on vacation with her family in Myrtle Beach so I am enjoying the bachelor life with the dog and cat and hanging around not doing too much of nothing if you didn't notice the lack of blogging yesterday. I miss her but the down time is nice. The dog slept in her spot in the bed last night and whined looking for her. So now I know, he likes her more than me.
I really am in a writers block mode right now so I may take the next day or two and recharge my batteries, though if something comes up, Ill be back, so, if there is anything that is of interest to you guys, leave me a comment and Ill post it if it would make a good post, otherwise Im getting away for a few days.
Of course Im still working and that, but like I said, I now know that sometimes, bloggers need to step away and recharge their collective batteries for the blog thing too. When I get back into the Bills will be in full swing at camp, the Olympics will be upon us and Ill try to figure out how to post some video from our swim clubs picnic this Saturday in Akron.
One thing I do know is that Im glad Im not in Myrtle Beach. Its July, it gets warm enough here to enjoy the weather here. Todays forcast for Myrtle Beach: 90 with a chance of Thunderstorms. Besides being about 10 degrees cooler, how is that any different from what we have here? During the summer I'd much rather go north to cottage country in Canada or upstate NY. Not to a spring break or winter break destination.

My Music Posting Skills

Yesterday I posted a Beach Boys tune and something didn't work initially, so if you want to go back and listen, with the help of Mike Boon I got it straightened out.
I basically went back and uploaded the audio file again, it probably didn't take last night as I was having some connectivity issues, and re-entered the music player code into the post and holy crap it worked. I thought I tried everything last night and I did, I just didn't have the file uploaded properly. Thanks Mike!Category: Blogging

Thank you all for checking out the site and where ever you are this holiday week I hope you are enjoying the Canada Day/Independence Day festivities.
Keep coming to visit and I hope you all enjoy the content I keep spewing out at ya!

Learning Audio Posts
The other day I posted my first post with an audio download. I am learning the media things like that slowly but surely thanks to the on the fly assistance from Toronto Mike. So when I post anything with audio and it doesn't work the first few times, be patient, After all, Im still in my first year of this thing called blogging! So for those of you who want to go back and listen, the Stephanie Miller audio clip is up and ready for download.
By the way, before I shove off to 5440 at Club Infinity tonight, make sure you all stop by Toronto Mikes site and wish him a happy birthday. Hes a year older today. Congradulations Mike!
I was going to leave you all with a little 5440 but I think Mike's birthday calls for something a little more birthday like:

Thanks For Reading
Heres a little bloggage update:
After a couple of down months (April was under 900 hits) this month I rebounded back to 1,250 hits. A nice rebound and I attribute some of that to the weather being shitty and people being indoors.
My goal is to crack 2000 hits in a month. I have a little more time to work on the site and learn how to post various media (with the help of wonderful Mike Boon who has been helping me learn various aspects) and I am planning on adding a few items over the summer.
For now, I just wanted to say thanks for reading and hopefully its enjoyable. I have fun doing this, its a release and allows me to voice my stubborn opinions and to have some fun with everyone.

Addition To Sidebar
Please take your attention to the sidebar...I have added AM 1520 the Voice of the New Majority. Its one of the few Democratic stations but dare I say they have a much more open station when it comes to view and allowing those to express their views. Toronto Mike placed it there and has continued to be an excellent help in design of my bloggage page. One of my favorite shows on 1520 is The Stephanie Miller show, its a politcal show with a definite democratic twist but it is very funny for anyone with a politcal interest, they don't hold back in their humor on the show and definitely fill a need on the airwaves. Take a listen
