LA Can Keep Their Grubby Paws Off The Bills
This should be a rule before you go stealing other cities NFL teams, get your facts straight....John Semcken of Majestic Realty Co in LA had this to say about their top two franchises they would like to move to LA:
"Jacksonville and Buffalo are two teams in very, very small markets, he said. “They are teams that have either outdated stadiums or are having trouble filling their stadiums or both.”
Trouble filling our stadium? John, I personally invite you to grab two season tickets to next season Bills games to get your facts straight. Yes, Ralph Wilson Stadium may not be the best stadium in the NFL and no the boxes there are probably not what most NFL owners have in mind to make them the money they need to make, but week in and week out through just the last 10 years of pathetic, losing seasons the fans of this small market team have sold out Ralph Wilson Stadium each and every single week.
We had 50,000 people show up and 80,000 tickets sold this past week for a game that was played in Arctic like temperartures and blinding snow, yet we show up and watch our losing team and buy all 80,000 tickets.
Maybe the Jaguars are having trouble filling their stadium which is way less than 80,000 seats, but this small market team supports this team big time. Keep your grubby, big market hands off our small market, but big hearted team.

Buddy Nix New GM
Now Go Get The Bills a Coach Buddy! By this time tomorrow I would be shocked if there are not at least rumblings of a new head coach.
In the meantime, Im going to sit back and watch The Snow Bowl. If anything else it will be interesting.

Jets 19, Bills 13
For any of you who got giddy last week and had delusional thoughts of Perry Fewel being the next head coach and Ryan Fitzpatrick being the full time starting quarterback think again.
Last night was another horrendous effort in which their new coach made the excuse that two games in five days took its toll on how his team played....well boo hoo. What did he think the Jets did last Sunday? Sit on the beach with umbrellas in their drinks? The Jets were in the same boat playing with their mediocre quarterback.
TO continued his downward spiral, there I said it, who gives a care about the last two weeks for him, he payed against inexperienced cornerbacks the last two weeks, put any cornerback with any kind of skill or experience on him and TO folds up like a cheap tent.
The Bills have 4 wins, Im making a prediction right now...they will do no better than 1-3 the rest of the way. 5-11 is their final totals on the season and as bad as this team is, thats a pretty nice record because they probably didn't deserve 3 of those wins. The only two they really deserved to win were the Tampa game and Miami last Sunday.
Don't take this the wrong way Toronto, but you guys don't deserve the Bills. I mean that on two levels, on one hand you really don't deserve the poor quality of football this team plays, on another level, the presentation put on by Rogers Communications by all accounts was piss poor.

Bills 31, Dolphins 14
It was another one of those games, close, tied into the fourth quarter giving a sick feeling into the pit of your stomach but the Bills pulled it off as injury depleted as their lines were they out played a tough Miami team.
Upon turning on Schopp and The Bulldog after which I do weekly to hear postgame comments I was surprised to hear the leading topic being the Bills running up the score....
I don't get it, the lose we bitch, they win we bitch that they won by too much. Come on guys, be happy. Who cares that they ran in the last second touchdown, that is what they should do on home turf. Miami could just as easily do it to us there.
These are professional football players, if they can't take another 7 points being scored against them, then maybe they better find another profession, maybe they should go play something safer like....with barbie dolls or something where nobodies feelings get hurt.
I didn't see the running up the score part especially since over the last 10 years this team has been on the recieving end of a lot of these types of games.

Goodbye Dick
Finally! Why now though? Why not yesterday? Maybe it took that long for the 4 years to sink into the old mans brain. He should have pulled the trigger during the bye week but for whatever reason it waited until two days after another horrible loss.
Still, Ralph said how hard of a decision it was to make the move. I'm sorry but if its about winning, this decision should have been made last year.
So, its done, now what? Perry Fewell will take over but lets not make this a coach who comes from within, make it a coach who will be here from outside the organization. I can see Fewell for the rest of this sad season, but after this season is over go out and get a high quality coach and GM.
Now we have a reason to watch this weekend.
Dick Jauron finished his career here with a 24-33 record, three 7-9 seasons and 3-6 this year. The football played could politely be described as vanilla at best.

250K For The Bird
Wow, and hes the owner of the Titans, imagine what Bills fans felt like doing after that sad performance. The only difference is, fans won't get fined for giving the finger to the Bills. 250K at first seemed like a lot, they should donate it to the Bills so they can buy a player that can help them.Category: Buffalo Bills | Sports
Gone To The Dogs
Look, Im not going to say that Michael Vick will or won't help the Buffalo Bills, he may. He may also crash and burn. The latter to me is more likely because if the Bills or Vick thinks that he is the answer to all things turning around here in Buffalo then they have both gone to the dogs.
Vick has been used minimally in Philadelphia and there has to be a reason for it. There is something in his game they don't like.
The Bills if they choose to go by Tony Dungy's advice need to seriously get their head examined. First, if that is the case, then make Dungy coach and he lives or dies with Vick as his quarterback. At least then if the quarterback doesn't work out the Bills still have a quality head coach on the sidelines to groom another rookie QB.
The Bills shouldn't think of touching Vick until they fix some things in the football department. First and foremost is Russ Brandon is not a GM, hes a marketing guy and his decisions have shown that. His decisions on signings in the offseasons have proven that he markets first and makes good football decisions second. He signs football players to fill seats regardless of the impact they have on the field.
Terrell Owens is a perfect example. He was signed more to sell tickets than to perform and since he hasn't performed the Bills don't care as long as warm bodies keep coming.
The Bills if the front office stays the way it is, they will try to sign Vick and if successful in doing so will sellout next year too without addressing the real problems. They might as well spit on the minds of the smart fans in this community. They need a GM who knows football. This team needs to start from the GM down, then the GM can pick his coach and the head coach can pick his quarterback. If that happens and all roads still lead to Michael Vick so be it.
This team's problems run much deeper than just bringing in Michael Vick, it starts from the top, if things stay the way they are, Vick is lame brained scam to sell tickets for next season. What do they ultimately have to lose except another 9 games and a mediocre, non playoff 7-9 season? Where have we seen that before?

Texans 31, Bills 10

Disgusting. Yeah they are hurt, but still disgusting. The effort was awful, the offense was offensive and the play calling was just brutal.
Can I use any other adjectives?
I wonder what the owner was thinking. I'm glad I didn't mention the "P" word last week, I hinted at it but I didn't say it because I wasn't kidding myself. This team with the exception of the Tampa Bay game has been just flat out bad. Even the last two wins were laughable.
Seriously, the last two games they had no business even being close in them let alone winning. Coming into today a lot of fans probably wanted to and did ignorantly give them the benefit of the doubt. I say ignorantly in the kindest way but there are fans who are just blind to how bad this team, its coaches and its front office really are.
Today just put an exclaimation point on it. They ARE bad. A lot of people gave them credit for being close against New England and New Orleans.....I didn't, they were bad, bad teams find ways to lose.
This week wasn't about finding ways to lose, they were just bad. This offense has been inept every game this season. The Tampa game was all Fred Jackson and no quarterbacking.
Seriously, they need to clean house and start over with this team. The sooner the better. Tell me Im wrong at this point. Tell me one reason why this team shouldn't be stripped from GM down to the players.
The saddest thing is 9 years without the playoffs and i believe I just heard 6 years without a 300 yard passer.that can't be right, or can it? Ill have to check that out. At this point is there anything suggesting that they are willing to make the changes necessary to change that?
7-9 would be a pipe dream at this point. Someone at One Bills Drive needs to show that there is a pulse at the top of the organization.

Bills 20, Panthers 9
Are the Bills playing with horse shoes in their shorts or what? Im not getting my hopes up for them yet. Im not even going to go where some fans will undoubtedly go.
They won their second game in a row on the road, the first time that has happened since 2004. They also have a rookie safety playing like a superstar right now who will make it very hard to bring back the injured starters if he keeps picking off passes.
If they win next week Ill mention the P word and show a little more optimism. Until then, they beat another mediocre team.
For now, they are 3-4, they got help from the Saints and they remain one game behind the Jets. Thats it.

Still In It? Bills 16, Jets 13

I know I haven't been throwing fluffy, happy adjectives the Bills way this season and for good reason, however, they are not out of it after a win today.
Last season they won 5 of their first 6 and missed the playoffs, why can't the reverse be true this year essentially? Nevermind the 318 rushing yards against or the 6 interceptions the defense came up with which tied a Bills record, the following happened today that hasn't happened in a long time:
1. They won on the road.
2. They beat an AFC East team, one that was in a tie for first place at the start of the day BTW.
3. They came from behind to win.
4. They won with their backup quarterback.
5. They won a close game in OT.
When was the last time any of those things happened at all, nevermind in one game? It was a possible confidence booster for a team with a fragile ego right now and puts them just one game behnd the Jets in the standings.
Im not ready to put them in the playoffs, but a win today gives diehards a reason A) watch and B) go to the games.
For all of you who are already yelling for Fitzpatrick to start next week, he had a quarterback rating of 51 and was 10 of 25. Not exactly stellar but good enough to win. Not good enough at least for me to take Edwards out if hes healthy. If hes not healthy next week then Fitzpatrick maybe could make a statement and convince to let him keep going.
