Stevie Needs Some Dough
Steven Baldwin is going broke. What a travesty. Hes a self proclaimed Christian actor who needs us to bail him out. Im not even going to grace this post with a picture of his mug.
My first question is ....why? What has Steven Baldwin done that deserves to be bailed out besides star in (if you could call him a star) a bunch of shitty B movies and crappy television shows?
I don't think Stevie gets how this bailout game works. See you have to have something that people need, and quite frankly Steve, you suck as an actor.
In addition to that, if the bank of Stevie goes down its no skin off my back. Why should I give a crap if someone like Stevie who has probably had more money than I will ever see despite being a crappy actor blew his wad? And what gives him the right as a so called Christian to ask for hand outs from ordinary people like me and you?
Here is my advice Steve, go walk barefoot around the country in robes like Jesus would have done, you might get farther that way, Jesus would never do what you are doing, quite frankly its embarassing, better yet....isn't your brother Alec floating in money? Go see him.

What Happened To Tiger?
I realize what happened this morning was probably just a coincidence. Tiger Wood's mother-in-law goes to the hospital with stomach pain and released, no big deal.
But, for a few hours this morning as things were trickling in we were all thinking the worst where as no more than a week and a half ago our mindset would have been totally different.
However, this guy has found a way to screw up his life. Think about this, he is worth close to if not more than a billion dollars, he has a smoking hot wife, beautiful kids and a legendary career...how do you screw that up?
Become a sex addict and apparently now there is a chance he could be addicted to prescription drugs and who knows what else at this point. Where have we heard the prescription drugs thing before? (Michael Jackson).
Im not going to beat on the guy anymore than everyone else is and really I think most at this point are in shock more than anything, I don't think even the media has fully grasped what is going on enough to beat him up yet.
This ranks right up there with OJ in the white Bronco, John Lennon being shot and the assassination of Kennedy. Tiger is/was an icon, loved by golf fans and ultimately non golf fans alike.
Even if you are not a huge golf fan you recognize Tiger. This last week and a half is just amazing and it makes you wonder, is any celebrity/superstar athlete immune to career damaging circumstances anymore? How many celebrity/superstar caiber icons manage to stay clean? Harrison Ford came to mind, Will Smith?...On the athlete side its rare today. Barry Bonds and A-Rod both steroids and the two biggest names in the modern era of baseball arguably. Wayne Gretzky had that cloud around him with his wife and the gambling....
Is there one true clean, no strings attached high profile individual out there?

Taking on the Role
Talk about taking on his role. David Duchovny plays a sex obsessed guy on the Showtime series Californication, which I have never seen.
So now he is checking into rehab for.....sex addiction. Whats even stranger is that this morning as I woke up and read this I caught the tail end of a reasonably good movie called Trust The Man. He plays a guy who is cheating on his wife in that movie too.Maybe there is something to actors and actresses taking their work home with them?

What A Shock
What an incredible shock as I was getting on this morning to see that of all people, Stephen Page of the Barenaked Ladies was arrested last night in Syracuse, NY for cocaine posession and drug charges.
If you have followed him and the Barenaked Ladies over the years, this is the last thing you would think of this guy doing or being involved with. I was looking forward to hearing or seeing what Humble and Fred would have to say about it.
Anyone from Toronto or WNY who listened to CFNY back in the 90's knows the connection between the Humble and Fred show and the Barenaked Ladies, Humble and Freddie knew these guys well and helped them along to stardom. Freddie commented today on his radio post on Rock 95.1 in Windsor, Ontario. You could tell it was tough for Freddie because he likes those guys (the Ladies that is). As for me I was completely shocked by the news and as a fan of them for the past 17 years, we can only hope that things just don't add up because it couldn't happen to a nicer guy who has provided us with some great listening moments over the years. Stephen, we are with ya man, get through this healthy and well! Who knew that the man who wrote about Brian Wilson's saga with the same sort of thing would be potentially going down that road himself.Category: Celebrities | Music | News

Down With The Yankee Empire
Well the beginning of the end could probably be traced back to the one and really only ace on the team going down till at least September a few months back. But, lately, this could be the melting point of a team filled with egos.
Its amazing what Joe Torre was able to do but I think even he would have trouble holding this disfunctional family together. I often half-jokingly say that the Yankees are the only team I would ever wish injury upon, nother serious, just enough to knock them out of the playoff contention.
Well, not only are we getting the physical, but A-Rod is providing the emotional injury that will plague him for at least the rest of this season.
I can't keep track of it, A-Rod is supposedly having an affair or affairs, who knows with the characters that have come out of the Yankee clubhouse (aka Clemens), His wife Cynthia goes to see Lenny Kravitz (where that comes from I have no idea and that was only after A-Rod was supposedly going to see Madonna. Can we get some bigger celebrity involvement here?
At least this wasn't with hookers or something, I mean you could at least see the potential of an A-Rod Madonna relationship, but all it will do is provide A-Rod with the emotional and mental distractions to take him off his game the rest of this season.
It sure is fun playing whos he gonna get caught with next and it also goes a long way towards pointing to the fact that the guy isn't Mr. Innocent after all. Next we will find out A-Rod has been juicing after all.

Jim McKay 1921-2008
Jim McKay passed away and I remember him like most of us do for Wide World of Sports on ABC. He told of the unique sporting events he covered in such story book fashion that you couldn't help but be hooked.
As a kid I really enjoyed watching Wide World of Sports. In a day and age were the money dominates, we could use a sports show like Wide World of Sports, providing us a different view other than the big money, greedy athletes we see.

All three of these pop stars have something in common, according to Yahoo Music its that they are all having babies. One of them however, is not a woman.
I dare you to pick out which one. Seriously, one of them is Clay Aiken. I looked at this and seriously questioned that. He can't be that girly can he? Then again, Ive heard enough of his music, yes he can be.

Buffalo's Own WWE Diva
Beth Phoenix or as they call her in the WWE "The Glamazon" is not only from Buffalo, she is the WWE Women's Champion. She is built but not overly muscular. China was just sick when she was wrestling, the Glamazon is actually pretty attractive. As Im writing this now, the Glamazon just got beat by Micki James. Dumb Buffalo luck. Oh well, shes now just another WWE Diva, go win it back Beth.

Was Just a Matter of Time
If you have seen pictures of Boy George lately, I am being kind by posting this one. Looking at his more recent photos the guy looks like a drug ridden, psycho.
Having said that, it was a matter of time before he went off the deep end and did something nuts like imprisoning a man against his will. Boy George is denying it but, reports are that he handcuffed a 28 year old man to a wall.
He originally went to Boy George's apartment as a photo model. Yeah right he did. Boy George was hoping to get a little and when the guy refused the Boy wonder handcuffed his rear end to the wall. We won't know until he goes to trial but right now he is free on bail.
Yet another freak show bites the dust. Boy George, George Michael, Michael Jackson......ever notice how the freak-a-zoids from the 80's all have names of either George or Michael somewhere in their name?
