Walking With The Dinosaurs

Tonight I walk with the dinosaurs down at HSBC. Who says you have to be a kid to go to this. I got laughed at at work because certain individuals think its lame that my wife and I would go. My wife got me tickets for Easter and to be honest its more for me than it is for her.

I love dinosaurs and the science of paleontology. When I was a kid I used to have a box full of rocks and fossils, a huge collection of dinosaur toys and couldn't get enough.

Tonight, Im going to be a kid again. Yeah it would be nice if our unborn daughter were a year or two old right now, but who says you can't enjoy the things you did as a kid as an adult. Dinosaurs are for everyone, this show is for everyone who likes dinosaurs.

Hopefully I can get some video of it tonight to bring back and post, the tickets don't say anything about not taking video of the show:

Ric Flair Says Goodbye to the Ring

Wrestlemania this year featured the last match for one of the greatest of all time. Ric Flair, he is no Hulk Hogan but over the years, other than Hogan, no one says wrestling more than the Nature Boy.

I am a wrestling fan, I admit to it, I know its fake but its fun to watch. Ric Flair has been wrestling for longer than I have been alive. Hes closing in on 60 and despite the fakeness of wrestling there are moves that Im sure hurt a healthy young 20 something in the ring, imagine what that stuff feels like on a guy who is turning 60.

Wrestling fan or not you have to admire the guy. His style and personality will be missed in the ring.

Too Much Time On Their Religious Hands

I saw a clip of the new childrens fantasy movie the Golden Compass. Its based on the first of a trilogy of books by Philip Pullman. Many Christian and Religious freaks, and thats exactly what they are, freaks...are calling the movie and the books anti-Christian.

They really need to get something else to do with their time. They have issues with the books because A. Philip Pullman is openly agnostic, meaning he believes or admits to having no real knowledge of whether or not a God exists. To me in regards to the movie thats besides the point.

In the book and movie itself there is an organization that represents what all are supposed to follow and it is also the organization that is eventually defeated. Well not to ruin it of name anything in the movie or the books if you haven't read or seen them, that organization is defeated.

The Church and Religious freaks out there seem to think that this represents the defeat of religion/God. What an incredible stretch and incredible waste of time on their part.

This is not the first, nor will it be the last time religious nut jobs speak out about a movie or get their panties in a knot over some innocent children's movie. It happened with the Harry Potter books, which in some places are actually banned down in the bible belt of the US. They think that Harry Potter being all about witch craft is essentially evil and anti-christian as well.

I say to all them, get a life and stop ruining good things. You are really reaching on both of these and if anything Religion should be more under attack for promoting its agenda....An invisible being who is all knowing and needs money from us when we go to worship it.....These religious nut jobs speak out about these things like they are going to bring an end to religion as we know it, well I have news for them, they need to be a little more confident and less defensive when something like this comes out. Their beliefs have been around for thousands of years, nothing has changed them yet, why do they think a simple childrens story is going to defeat Christianity, I highly doubt that Jesus would be this defensive and attack oriented.

Personally, Ill stick to Harry Potter and The Golden Compass...Stay home on Sunday and worship my IPOD.

What the Hell Happened to Katie Holmes?

Is she trying for the Elizabeth Taylor look here? She looks like shes about 50 in this picture and I can't help but feel for this poor kid having to grow up between her and her brain washed, scientologist husband.

Katie must be expecting a solar eclipse or something with those glasses. She looks like she plans on staring directly into the sun. I am going to make a bold prediction, she will be the next of the young starlets to go off the deepend in the coming year. Just a hunch.
