Christmas: Humble and Fred Style
I have been hanging onto this since I started this blog, waiting for the chance to convert this cassette full of Christmas cheer to MP3. It is the 1998 Humble and Fred Christmas Spectacular featuring the Barenaked Ladies. Humble and Fred can correct me if I am wrong but 1998 was the last year that the band played. Stephen made appearances after Humble and Fred switched to MOJO but for the most part that was it.
So, enjoy and Merry Christmas! I hear the guys are working on Humble and Fred Podcast #5 so this should provide some fun listening until that is up and running. There are 6 parts so have a listen!

If you didn't notice with my last post I had to switch to a new audio player. No its not as nice and detailed as the Imeem one but Houndbite will suffice. Mike Boon super technical guy referred me to Houndbite to get the audioclips running again as Myspace ate up Imeem. I have been slacking big time with the Humble and Fred Friday thing but I promise, business is about to pick up starting today. Its a major chore going through tapes upon tapes of old Humble and Fred Shows and getting their bits out of them.....maybe I said that wrong, I apologize if I caused anyone to vomit into their breakfast....who would want to get their bits?

Humble and Fred Fridays
I've been a little behind on my Humble and Fred Fridays, I have a ton of old Humble and Fred shows from their days on CFNY and MOJO Radio in Toronto and occasionally on Fridays I do try to post a clip....or two.
This week is a nice one, its the end of their show talking about Fred's week off the following week and checking in with Danger Boy and Uncle Vince on their weekend. Also it features the famous Humble and Fred Polka finish to the show.

Nothing Says Friday quite like Humble and Fred, that is why as I get new clips from the dozens of Humble and Fred tapes I have recorded I will post a clip or two every Friday.
This clip come from a show that featured a semi-regular guest on CFNY by the name of LA Chris. I to this day don't know what to make of those "bits". Maybe one of the guys can comment on it on BBM, come on, its been 10 years now, was LA Chris a real guy from LA who worked at a 7 Eleven or was this just a bit? Doesn't matter cause it was funny as hell.

Nothing says a Friday Morning like Humble and Fred. I have a lot of old Humble and Fred material that I have been surfing through and as I dig it up and get some tracks Ill share a clip (or two) on most Fridays not all.
Recently I have been slacking but this week I wanted to get back into it.
This clip is from around Christmas, one thing I didn't do was date the tapes I made, but its probably late 90's to early 2000's.
