Tim "The Tool" Thomas
Tim Thomas, as if Buffalo Sabre fans, at least the rational ones don't have enough reasons to hate the Boston Bruins, you have yet another one to add to the man between the pipes. Tim Thomas proved what a "tool" he is by dissing the traditional meeting with the President.
Tim Thomas tried to play it that he disagrees with all of our government but lets face it, he doesn't like the politics of one man. President Obama. The guy is a self proclaimed fan of nutbag Glenn Beck which says all you need to know about what he means by saying he disagrees with all government.
Okay, disagree with President Obama on politics, don't like the way our government is going, thats fine, but save it for a day when that's the issue. Save it for a side conversation with the President either before or after the photo-ops, but to not show up because you disagree with the politics is just insane.
Presidents for years have gone out of their way from doing much more important things to invite championship teams to the White House and to turn that opportunity down over a disagreement on politics is just plain disrespectful. Don't like the politics fine, but have a mutual respect for the man who invited you and show up, smile and take your picture with your team.
There used to be a day where you could disagree on politics and still have a mutual respect for one another and for the most part, that is still there, except for dickheads like Tim Thomas who have to voice up to prove what kind of a man they are, He is a tool, plain and simple. Stick to playing hockey, thats what you get paid millions to do. What a poor example he sets too for the youth of this country who look up to him. Tim Thomas is one big tool.
GOP: Proving You Don't Have To Be Smart To Be Successful
News flash, in case you haven't been watching the circus of GOP political debates and sound clips coming from the field of what is the GOP candidates for president, you don't have to be smart to run for president of the United States or at least attempt to run. Hell you don't even have to be faithful or honest. All you have to do is hide behind "God" and spew your version of the truth and some group of people is A) gullible enough to believe you and B) they will donate to your campaign.
Seriously, why doesn't more people in this country look at the selections the Republican party has to offer and just scratch their heads. I do. I wonder daily how did Herman Cain become a wealthy, successful anything when he knows nothing more than how to make a pizza and cheat on his wife.
Michelle Bachman...she constantly makes up shit she doesn't know to the point where at times she looks like the deer I had in my high beams a few weeks ago driving home from work one night when you ask her anything that remotely challenges her to be knowledgeable, hell she gets basic American history wrong, Her and Sarah Palin must have had the same Social Studies teachers in high school.
Rick Perry is another God toting over the top Christian who doesn't know the basics that it takes to run a country nevermind a state. He doesn't even know the agencys of our government struggling with coming up with three he would cut. Does he even know what cutting the EPA would do to this country? Its pure ignorance and its dangerous ignorance.
Newt Gingrich has cheated on how many wives? He calls for the arrests of democrats involved with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae yet he gets more money than most people make in a year per month to consult with these entities. He is a hypocrite and a liar yet he may very well end up leading this country if people don't wake up.
I could go on and on, Romney who at least might be one of the smarter ones but the guy still talks out of both sides of his mouth depending on whose ass he is trying to kiss for campaign donations.
The only decent candidate amonst them is John Huntsman yet for some reason he is down at the bottom of this group. He is the only one of them that believes in science and actually knows something about foreign policy and actually gets that Social Security and Medicare aren't broken they just need to be funded appropriately.
Michelle Bachman, Rick Perry, Newt Gingrich and Herman Cain have all come out and said that God chose them to be president......either God doesn't know that only one person can be president or all of them are lying......
Folks, wake up, you don't have to be smart to run for any political office in this country, you just have to have a degree in BBS....Bigtime Bullshit and ass kissing. I wasted a fortune on getting a bachelors/masters degree when all you really have to do flat out lie, steal and cheat your way to the top and it took this group of GOP candidates who are supposed to be part of the party of morals and decency to teach me that and it only took 38 years to learn it.
Forget your education, learn how to be a good liar and bullshitter and there is no reason why any of us could be president or at least make a fortune trying. Sarah Palin may be dumb but she stole a lot of money selling crappy biographys, bad reality TV and fundraising her way to not running for president.

Calling Them Out
The Republican Party both in the congress and senate are proving what a bunch of spineless, anti-middle class/out to get the president bunch of hypocrites they really are.
Out of one side of their mouth they criticize the president for not creating jobs, then they go and vote against a jobs bill that is full of both republican and democratic backed ideas and plans, fully funded by a small tax on the wealthy 1% of this country. A jobs bill that would bring millions of jobs and put teachers, firefighters and construction workers back to work.
Ed Schultz on MSNBC is going after all the Senators who recently voted against the jobs bill. He is taking it up a notch on his show by not just calling them out by name but scrolling at the bottom of his show every senator who voted against the jobs bill and not just the name, but how many jobs that cost that senators state. Brilliant!
If you haven't been watching Ed Schultz on MSNBC check him out starting Monday he is on at 8 PM, he is one of the few that is truly for the middle class and I love the fact that he is scrolling these senators on the bottom of the screen during his shows, maybe it will get some of the repuke followers to start asking their repuke represenatives some questions, like "why did you vote down all those jobs that could have come to our state?"

Can't Hold Back Anymore.....
Eric Cantor, house majority leader is fucking insane. There is no other way to describe this bastard. His Virginia district has suffered damages caused by both the recent earthquake and by hurricane Irene and he comes out yet again and wants to match cuts to disaster relief money. He is a heartless bastard plain and simple.
I say again because he came out after the massive tornado outbreak and stated the same damn thing. What is his district thinking? After 5 months of deliberating between congress and the senate on cuts for the recent debt debate how would the cuts debate go for disaster relief? If victims were lucky they would get done arguing about cuts-relief money sometime after Christmas and by then people displaced by this thing would be up shits creek.
Eric Cantor, have a fucking heart. You represent people in your district who need help, Homeowners insurance on the east coast of this country probably doesn't include earthquake coverage like many out west have because we get a damage causing earthquake once every maybe 100 years? I don't have the statistics on it that but I am going to guess it hasn't been in our lifetimes. The same goes for people in Vermont and upstate New York, they probably don't have flood insurance....Thats where FEMA comes in, for the damage that homeowners insurance won't cover. Why is this a bad thing? Why does every dollar need to be accounted for when it comes to the wellness and safety of our citizens after a disaster?
Cantor's comments suggest that people should have been saving for hurricane Irene. like people save every day for their homes and businesses to be totally destroyed in a weather related incident. Remember the October surprise storm from a few years ago? How many who lived through that carnage were prepared for that chaos? No one predicted that and no one saved for that storm. Yet we needed help and relief that can't come out of homeowners insurance, that can't come from people wallets.
I would love to go hang out in Cantor's district for a week and just interview random people, after the comments he made about the disaster relief, it shows where this bastards heart is, the almight dollar. I say if he wants cuts we start with his salary and then why don't we work our way to the Pentagon for the rest. Bring back the troops in Iraq and end one of these wars and let the troops help our people for a change. The fact is those aren't the cuts he is talking about. He is talking about more cuts to the poor and middle class, cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, people who are already hurting from the hurricane, get hurt even more.
Eric Cantor, your day is coming, my prediction is in 2012, his district is going to vote this scum sucking pig out of office,, mark my words.
Broken Government
I haven't written much about our political situation on here in a while because well, there has been too much shit going on in our political landscape, as soon as I got ready to comment on something, something else even crazier comes up. Most of the crazy shit is republican based and this debt deal is no different.
But lets face it, its both parties. The democrats led by Mr. Barack "Bend Over" Obama who has yet to truly stand up for the middle class and working poor of this country. While the repukes do nothing but try to stop our president officilally now I am saying it, the repukes are racially motivated and they truly do want to see government fail.
If the repukes want to see government fail so much then why run for political office? Why become part of the problem? Why accept a salary while you serve that oh btw makes government bigger. Thats a point for another day.
The point is, this debt deal is more than likely going to end ugly, it forms essentially a third branch of government that makes more cuts unequivocally....without any input from the most important part of this whole process....THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!! You know the 90% of us who are not independently filthy rich? Who will all be most affected by the cuts you make. You know those of us living pay check to pay check.
Where does the American middle class/working poor citizen get their voice heard? If we did, it would clearly show that we don't want medicare, social security or medicaid porgrams touched. Yet the legislators that we voted in don't listen to a damn word from average middle class America. Who do they listen to? Lobbyists, paid for by big, rich coorporate and wealthy donors. Its sickening.
What do you think? I want to hear from people out there, my Canadian readers included....Keith Olbermann unleashed tonight, Agree with him, disagree? He is on Current TV, he gets a little more freedom than the mainstream media to let loose on both parties, I thought he lit up both sides, goverment is broken:I promise I will write more in the coming weeks, its been a busy summer work wise, I have a lot to say and after this horrendous debt deal its time for this blog to start contributing to the collective voices of the extremely pissed off.

Stand Up for Your Base!

I'm just about done. I will never vote republican, but if Barack Obama doesn't grow a set and stand up for medicare/social security/medicaid over the next several weeks and accepts nothing less than tax increases to the wealthiest Americans and cooperations then he's not getting my support in 2012.
70-80% of this country is behind him if he just gets tough on this. We have your back if you just grow a set Mr. President. Since day one its been compromise after compromise. The repukes have dictated things since the day you took office, from the stimulus package which was watered down because half of it went for .....wait....tax cuts to appease the repukes, you caved on the public option in the healthcare bill despite 65% of Americans having your back, and then you extended the Bush tax cuts....and here we are 7 months after the extension of the Bush tax cuts and not only did they not create one single job during the Bush administration, but since December they haven't created one bloody job since you extended them.
I dare one conservative/repuke to get on this post and tell me one job that has been created by extending the Bush tax cuts. If those cuts were meant to be permanent why did they set to have them expire in 2010? Why have an expiration date to begin with? Why hasn't anyone tracked down Bush and asked him that.
Enough is enough. Seniors, the working poor, and individuals with disabilities did not cause the national debt. And they sure as hell shouldn't have programs that they and every American pay into cut like they are freebie programs that no one counts on.
You ask the average repuke and they will tell you that you shouldn't need social security, that you should work until you are dead. Maybe if you are a rich politician.
Through all of this, I just question how taking away subsidies from big oil is a bad thing? Yet Repukes will have you think big oil is going to collapse if you take them away. The subsidies they get are a fraction of the massive, gouging profits they take in.
How is it that taxing millionaires and billionaires a little more is going to kill this economy, they are sitting on trillions in profits anyway, they aren't hiring, trickle down is more like flooding up, to the very rich.
So, Obama needs to stand his ground or he will be a one term president. I don't know who I will vote for in 2012 if this president doesn't hurry up and grow a pair of nuts. It doesn't even require that, not when the voting public is by in large behind you.

Tea Party "Brain Washing" Summer Camp
This sounds like a lot of fun:
What parent hates their kid this much that they would subject their kids to this crap? Liberty, Free Markets, Faith and Limited Government.....gee I wish I could have gone to a camp like that when I was 8. Run kids run! The school that this "brain washing" camp is being held at is the Paideia School, I was curious and went to the site of the schools curriculum documents. The link to the school I posted is the science curriculum....proof that schools are doing this...they are actually using a Bible to help teach 8th grade science......This is what this whole movement is about. Brain washing kids to their version of the truth which is actually bullshit. I guess you have to give them credit for sticking to what they believe in. Bottom line, these kids are going to be raised just as ignorant as the whole Tea Party movement.Category: Politics
The Hipocrites of the Healthcare Mandate
There are a lot of repukes who need to explain why they thought mandates on purchasing health insurance was a good idea back in the 90's and up until President Obama and the democrats included in their healthcare bill and then all of a sudden individual mandates are no good.
It wasn't unconstitutional when Mitt Romney was governor of Massachusetts to require it via a state mandate and even suggested that it was the "Model" of reform on a federal level, but then as soon as it was used in the bill passed by Obama its "unconstitutional".
Big Eddie, Ed Schultz hit on it tonight on the Ed Show as well as the list of other repukes who supported the idea along with Romney:
