Rush Proves Hes a Gas Bag
Not the band, the fat ass talk show host. Rush Limbaugh's witch hunt on Barack Obama came to a screeching halt Friday as he thought he had uncovered some juicy material on 10 pages of Barack Obama's thesis entitled "Aristocracy Revisited".
Only one problem, Rush, nor his producers checked this "thesis" for fact and went ahead and based their show on it anyway. This is just more proof that a) Limbaugh is on a witch hunt from day one with Obama and b) hes probably full of crap on his other "socialist", "facist", "communist" and other claims he has made about Obama. Seriously, does anyone realistically look around them and see any semblence of a communist society? I don't. The first thing that republicans like Limbaugh will bring up is General Motors or as they call it "Government Motors". GM filed bankrupcy. They asked for government assistance, the government didn't want to LEND them money. The key word there is LEND. GM is no more owned by the federal government than millions of students who take money from government sponsored student loans for college. GM had to agree to pay back those loans based on the bankrupcy agreement. Limbaugh has been out for Obama's head since November, stating he wants our president to fail and failing to check facts on stories like this thesis and supporting birther's claims that Obama isn't a citizen of this country are examples of Limbaugh's and other talk show hosts recklessness on the right who have no other grounds to go after this president other than to smear him at every turn. Listen to AM 1520 in the afternoon for an hour then switch to Limbaugh on WBEN 930. Listen to the way in which the liberally based AM 1520 is more about solutions to America's problems than it is about smearing the president. 1520 is liberal radio but by no means are they signing praise for Obama at every turn, unlike Limbaugh and his conservative talk host friends who thought W could do no wrong. Ed Schultz who works the afternoons and is nationally syndicated like Limbaugh but on significantly fewer stations is the complete opposite of Limbaugh. The only thing they share is their passion for what they believe in, though I would even question that in Limbaugh who has said in the past that he does what he does for the ratings, not because he necessarily believes it. You want a witch hunt and false claims against a president and democratic party trying to fix the mess left by W, listen to the fat ass on 930, you want someone who is trying to find solutions and engages with ALL listeners republicans, democrat or in the middle, give Ed Schultz a shot.Radio Nigel, My New CFNY

Glenn Beck Loses It
Glenn Beck should be standing in line for mental healthcare very soon, this guy is such a pathetic excuse for a talk show host it makes me sick.
When this woman asks him what he would do about our broken healthcare system he absolutely loses it. He says nothing constructive because quite frankly he has no answers and neither do any of the other republicans.
If this clip doesnt prove to those of you siding with these nut jobs how pathetic they are I don't know what does. The way he talks to and blows this woman off is just amazing.
When ever any of these right wing hosts get challenged they resort to this type of stuff, Bill O'Reilly is another great example, instead of having an intelligent conversation and accepting another point of view they scream and yell because they have no tolerance, they have no answers because they are simply lunatics:Category: Politics | healthcare | radio
Keep Talking Rush
If you happen to be in the same room as Rush Limbaugh when he opens up his mouth lately, hold your nose. Everything that comes out of his trap lately is complete bullshit.
His latest "blame Obama" skit (I call it a skit because there is no truth, the only explanation for his outrageous claims can only be for entertainment/shock value), blames President Obama for the Mark Sanford run off to Argentina and his extra marital affair.
Did you get that guys/gals....want to be unfaithful? Nows the time, according to Rush we can blame it on the president. Im not kidding or making this up. When does it stop for him? Its amazing there are enough half wits out there dumb, no dumb is not the word, ignorant enough to listen to his crap.
I listen so occasionally I can post something about the vile lump of human flesh and help expose him for what he is. For the sake of the democrats though, keep the guy on the air and keep him talking because the majority of Americans I believe are bright enough and smart enough to know that what this guy says is hog wash, which is fitting since he looks like Boss Hog anyway. Unfortunately, hes got just enough Roscoe P. Coltrane's out there to support the wind bag.
Humble and Fred Fridays
What better way to finish the work week than with a little dose of old school radio with some old clips of The Humble and Fred Show.
Last week I got a little toy that allows me to convert old cassettes directly into MP3 just by hooking my computer up to a tape deck witha USB cable, thus giving us access to old H&F bits and other goodies I have had on cassette for years.
This week for the first edition, we have all seen Fred's site how he has been down on Mats Sundin, well, I actually have his last comment ever on CFNY which clearly features Freddie talking Mats up a bit. Yes, Fred at one time actually liked Mr. Sundin. Now, the Sabres are my favorite team and I would say that most Sabre fans would give their right arm to have a guy of Mats Sundin's ability on our team. So I never understood getting down on the Leaf captain

Testing The New Gadgets
I acquired a few new things to help me post music easier and to gain access to some audio treasures for you fans of CFNY 102.1...I'll say no more.
First, I came across a program that Mike Boon has been using called Imeem. Its a website that allows you to upload media files and provides an embedding code to embed in your posts. Listen to me starting to sound all geekish....damn!
My second gadget I came across Saturday, its the Tape2PC dual cassette deck. For 1/3 the price of the Plusdeck Ex it allows me to convert my cassettes to MP3s and it makes my wife Sandie happy because she won't have to look at hundreds of my cassettes laying around anymore. They will be converted to digital format and tucked safely away into boxes.
So, my test is a little Humble and Fred treat from their last show ever on the Edge aka 102.1 CFNY. Its their last ever "Song Prize Thingy" Coming this Friday I will pull more Humble and Fred moments out of my stash as I start Humble and Fred Fridays
