Joe Drops an F-Bomb
Joe Scarborough keeps talking after he drops an F-bomb on the MSNBC morning show. Everyone around him was in disbelief. This will probably be made a huge deal of and he will be forced to leave or be fined some exorbitant amount of money. People will over react like they have never heard the word "fuck" before.
There I did it, I am sticking up for a republican talk show host.

Obama's Informercial
How many presidential candidates in modern history have taken the time out of their incredibly busy schedules to make a half hour infomercial? I watched it this morning and it was good, maybe a little too much cheesiness for my tastes but when you do something like that you have to make it a little emotional.
What is even more impressive is that Obama is up there front and center for a half hour giving details. Letting you get to know him. This guy went out on a limb, doing something that no candidate has ever done, put his campaign money to good use, not on clothes to present himself days before the election.
Its an informative watch, I learned some things by watching it too and I have been following this whole thing.

Man Up Canada
I was browsing Youtube for a while tonight and came across a brand new show that will be hitting the air in Canada in the new year starring none other than Humble Howard Glassman. He has been doing the morning show recently at EZ Rock. This is a new project that will be airing sometime in January. Currently they are looking for guys to go on and well, Man Up, (the random hot girls are a bonus) check it out:Category: Humble Howard | Television
Real Time Last Night
I missed my show last night, Real Time with Bill Maher, so I decided I would post it and watching it on here. Someone out there does a great job getting up on You Tube the next day. His guests included Martin Short and Ben Affleck. Opening Monologue: New Rules:Category: Television
Sesame Street Jingles
Today I made the wrong claim on a popular Sesame Street jingle in the classroom today. So I am correcting myself, I said it was Bob that sang "One Of These Things Is Not Like The Other". It turns out, it was a lot of different Sesame Street Characters, here are two of those jingles, one with Cookie Monster and one with Big Bird.
It was easily in my top three Sesame Street tunes of all time:

I Hate It When Im Right
I said it the other day in this post. Economists needed a few days to mull it over, obviously I have more intuition than they do. They agree with my sentiments that the buy out solves no problems. You essentially have the government jumping in and taking over bad debts. The system has essentially be socialized. I think we would all agree, we would rather have socialized healthcare than this mess. You have to get to the root of the problem which is oversight of the financial sector. Absolutely no steps have been taken to protect us, the taxpayer.Bill Maher interviewed Princeton economic professor Paul Krugman who of all the so called economy experts they have been throwing on TV gave the most realistic point of view on the whole thing.
The other thing to consider, it has taken the better part of the last 8 years of George W. Bush's administration to get into this mess, he and his administration is fixing it (oh shit, oh shit, oh shit), its going to take a while and more than just a bailout orchestrated over a few days to fix the underlying problems that the republicans caused.

Palin a Pig?
The republicans were in such a tizzy over this quote from Obama and the sad part about it is, HE WASN'T REFERRING TO PALIN! He was referring to George Bush's and John McCain's policies. Thats the problem with the "Youtube" media you hear a clip but that the whole speech in the context of which it was meant to be heard. This is such a made up controversy and the sad part is the media took it, hook, line and sinker. I hope that in the end the American public is smarter than these Karl Rove tactics. We have had to put up with them for 8 years, be wiser than that people.
So, if the republicans want Palin to be a pig, we can arrange that, take a look at Miss Piggy:

SNL
I haven't watched SNL since the Chris Farley, Mike Myers, and Dana Carvey days. Tonight though I will be there watching as Michael Phelps is hosting.
Who would have thought that swimming would get this much attention even after he accomplished 8 gold medals at Bejing. It would be nice if they could get a few more of the incredible athletes/personalities from the US swim team into a skit tonight too. They were all deserving of the big stage, not just Phelps.
Tonight will be interesting and hopefully, he does USA swimming proud. Knowing him, he will, he doesn't like to lose, in or out of the water.
